Poker at The Clarion...No more Horseshoe

Due too contract and varies other issues I am leaving the Horseshoe and Joining forces with Boyd and the gang at the Clarion. I would like to thank everyone who supported the game at the Shoe.

Since I'm Teaming up with the best run game in CostaRica the CR Poker Community will be able to Play too the level they feel most comfortable. (Cash games and Tournaments)

The Clarion (Paradiso Casino) has been famous for there 2-5 cash game daily and the Sunday 2pm Tournament that has been running for over 50 weeks straight....

Here is the upcoming schedule:

Daily cash games 2-5 and 1-2 starting at 3pm

Sunday's $55.00 Tournament with 1 Re-Buy, starting at 2pm with free Buffet at 1st break. Cash game's starting at 3pm.

Monday's 20,000 Colones Tournament No-ReBuy, starting at 8pm with free Buffet at 7:30. Cash game's starting at 3pm.

Tuesday's cash games starting at 3pm.

Wednesday's cash games starting at 3pm.

Thursday's cash games starting at 3pm...Free Buffet at 7:30

Friday's cash games starting at 3pm.. Free Buffet at 7:30

Saturday's $100.00 tournament No-Rebuy, starting at 6pm with free buffet at 7:30. Cash games's starting at 3pm. (Tourney Starting Saturday August 2)

Tue thru Fri Tournaments are planned, Structure and Times TBD

Pit bosses and dealers

the Clarion has been under new management for some time now....issues have been addressed and the Poker area is run seperately from the casino, all working as one to provide the best customer service.

Damn that's too bad, we were actually going to stop in at the Horseshoe tonight...

Born, that is the best thing you have going for you, that casino is the biggest sham in Costa Rica. For anyone looking for some action other than poker, check out these rules they have for blackjack.

$100 max, two hands. (by far lowest table max in Costa Rica.)

If you split, you CAN NOT double down any of your new hands.

They don't accept bills that you fold, or that have any wear, tear, or discoloration whatsoever. If you don't get the NEW bill hot off the press, you are not allowed to play. I'm not joking. It's now wonder the poker is always thriving and the casino is a ghost town when I visit.

Hey Phil, I stopped in early Friday (4-5ish) and talked to Boyd for a minute or two-nice guy & very helpful). No poker players(but neither were there at the Shoe between 8-11pm). Man, it must be tough to get a game going on down here-at least before 6 or 7.

p.s. I wouldn't sweat having to have "mint condition" money. I threw down three 20's on the BJ table & don't think that anyone even looked twice. Ironically, every time that someone bought in at the Shoe, they analyzed the bill unlike anything I've ever seen. I take it that funny money is a problem down here.

Yes sometimes getting a game early can be tough but the Clarion game usually starts earlier than that...was a slow week over there.
