Basics:

Full House Aces over Kings must be beat.

1-2 rakes $1 when pot reaches 50.00
2-5 rakes $1 when pot reaches 100.00

50% to losing qualified hand
25% to winning qualified hand
25% evenly distributed amongst players dealt a hand in any active cash game at time of Jackpot.

Clarion by far best poker room in SJ area

I've been playing there for a couple months now and highly recommend it to the locals. Boyd and Phil who run things do a sweet job, and are very knowledgeable about the game, unlike other Tico rooms here.

Also, games start as early as 3 or 3:30pm everyday and the staff is well-trained. I've been playing poker here in CR for 7 years and this is by far the best run room I've had a pleasure to play in.

Added note, on this Saturday at 3pm they're running a WPS satellite to the Jaco tournament Nov. 5-15. Buy in is 20,000 colones with rebuys and they're giving away weekend hotel/tourney buy in packages.

they definitely run a good game there. i've about had it with other poker rooms here, the staff just do not know the rules, has attitude, doesnt want to make the game go along quick etc. it was mind boggling playing at the colonial the other night how the staff didnt know a simple rule. very nice people dealers and great drunk tourist action but sweet jesus ever time i play there something happens
