I can't get through some people's heads that those lil creatures appear on your map/navigation at random.

Some actually believe that the ppl who made this app preset these lil creatures at every location, in every large city, and every small city or town, across the entire world...

I don't know a lot about it, but my kids were playing it this past weekend. Apparently the app uses google maps to "hide" pokemons in different places, and you physically walk/move around looking for them. There also is the ability to fight people for them, inside the app... not sure how that works.

I downloaded the app and fooled around with it for maybe 5 minutes, and got bored with it and deleted it.

I will preface this by saying I dont play, but this is just another example of old cranky fuckers not understanding something new and calling it stupid. It's exactly the same as every past generation saying this generations music sucks, has not soul,mis just noise, etc.

It sounds like chasing a dot on your google maps, am I correct? Their is a "wallet" of pokemon shit in your phone and someone trys to come by and steal it?

So maybe you are passing someone in the gambling window who has your pokemon and your phones go to battle?

I'm offended, I am far from old. lol

went bar hoping Saturday night and wine tasting Sunday and saw a ridiculous amount of adults that were playing. It was nuts. One good thing I can say from pokemon was everyone was way more interactive with each other, very friendly and talkative. Completely different vibe. Everyone was instant friends.

Not exactly. I work on the leading edge of technology. I downloaded the app to my phone and tried it out. I got extremely bored in 5 minutes, and deleted it.

exactly....so hard to recognize/accept that times are changing around us and faster than ever

instinct is to say different/new sucks....and it may to you and me.....but we grew up in different generations and many can't let the "way things were" go....

and i am not a gamer either....just wish i bought some nintendo stock!
