when you have a favorite (giving pts) that is getting + juice, its a sign that the given book is getting alot of bets on the other side (underdog). instead of dropping the line, they give you better juice on the favorite. Most people in general like betting on favorites, throw in the fact they dont have to eat - juice on the bet, it can sucker some people in to bet the losing side in most instances
