If a player on the punting team touches the ball and the whistle is not blown ,the ball is allowed to be advanced by the receiving team without any possiblity of a turnover...

Also I wish more players were astute to that rule....It was a game involving the Saints a few years ago where the return man actually had the brains to pick the ball up and return it over 100 yards....
