Playstation 3?

I'm looking at a Playstation 3 system, but only for the following reasons: Play DVD's, CD'd, Blu-Ray's, and Sports games. What PS3 (GB needed etc.) do I need and what is the best place to buy cost wise? Also, do I need a special remote for playing DVD's, Blu's and CD's? Will be using my HDTV. Thanks

I use my PS3 to play 1080p movies off my external HH. I have about 2-5 sports games .. but can't remember the last time I actually used it to play games.

PS3 has yet to reach its maximum potential.
