like how could you tell there was a 60gb at 1240 or whatever and how did you know there was a 20gb?

I just saw this thread a little bit ago, I have kept trying...and just now was able to order a 60GB version

I just was clicking the "add cart" button for awhile. I was on the internet anyways and I had that page opened and would occassionaly check it.

I was on a message board at Amazon.com and I saw I missed the selling of the 60GB version by about 20 mins. So I kept trying the 60 to see if some would be available. One guy said to try the 20 because you never know. I did and I was able to get one.

But from what i've been reading on the board, people have not had much luck getting one online. I know Costco sold some on launch day. Sony Style. And I think Amazon via Target sold the 20Gb version a day or two ago.

People are going nuts over there waiting for Amazon to sell the 60GB. It's like little kids in that forum. All chaos.

I've read on a message board that a lot of people had their orders cancelled immediately by Sony Style when the 20GB went on sale a few days ago. They got an email saying Sony sold more than they had or something like that.

So you might want to make sure they do not cancel yours.

My 20GB order says "ready to ship" as does many others from what I read but they have not charged my credit card yet. Stranger. I'm still hoping

No idea. It was going in spurts that one night. Maybe Friday night or Saturday I forgot.

People are e-camping out at Amazon.com waiting for them to sell the 60GB version. They are going insane. It's nuts over there. But that's where I read on rumors about which site is selling.

I read a message board over at Amazon and that's how I find out who has sold and who is selling on their website.

the bundle is crazy. All that would cost $1400 but they want to charge $2100. People are saying something is fishey. Some say scam. I say it's way too much to pay.

The hysteria dying down... you can buy a 20g unit for around 800 on ebay now and the 60's are going for around 1000. I guess all of the speculators are trying to get some money back.
