In my days as an out (10 + years) the public usually won for the first 3 to 5 weeks. Same with NFL where it seems like a lot of faves and overs come in early in the season.

In my opinion things have changed quite a bit especially in the NFL. It used to be fade the public on all big games but now days I think there is so much money both ways that is not as good as it was. More and more money getting bet every year. Hard to tell who they need sometimes
