Phillies -1.5 (+120)
Finally the Phils bats are heating up. Ryan Howard is starting to hit the ball and the team has put up 35 runs in the past two games. They are playing in Philly where they are 15-11 and are hosting the Rockies who are 8-17 outside of Colorado.
The Phils are trotting Kyle Kendrick out on the mound. While his season stats aren't impressive look at his last 6 starts and the conditions. He has given up 12 earned in 21 innings pitched. However, 5 of those runs came in his last start (which was on 3 days rest). Granted he only pitched 1 inning in his previous outing do to a rain delay but starters tend to struggle when put outside of their element so I don't mind it much.
The Rockies are banged up and playing without many key players. Matt Holliday, Clint Barmes, and Garret Atkins are all out. The Rocks used a good amount of pitching in that 20-5 stomping last night which means we could see some worn out releivers going out their if the Phils tag Jiminez early. Jiminez actually hasn't pitched bad at all this season. He has been throwing the ball well but with the Rockies at just 1-9 in his starts this year...thats saying something. Jiminez walks a bit to many for my taste which will hurt if he wants to put men on base for any of these hitters.
