What will they be & would you make any wagers at those prices?

Eastern Conference:

1} Montreal vs BOSTON

2} Rangers vs WASHINGTON

3} Carolina vs NEW JERSEY

4} Pittsburg vs PHILADELPHIA {if Phily gets at least a tie tomorrow,
otherwise it will be the Pens with home ice advantage to start}.

I think Boston will be higher than -230, I'm thinking somewhere in the -280 range.

I'm not saying that Boston doesn't deserve to be a higher favorite but -230 is what I think the linesmakers will make them. If you made them a -280 favorite all you'd get is one way action.

Gut reactions:

1) Ridiculous juice

2) Anaheim at +300, (or better at another shop), is great value.

3) Ditto for St Louis at 5/1 over San Jose

4) As shocked as I am to see numbers so high on Montreal and the Rangers....they aren't high enough for me to want any action on them.

I cant believe the Devils are only -125 personally I was thinking about -200. I will be pounding the Devils to win the series at that low number for sure!

At this time there can be no debate that Carolina is the better team.

Thats why its value central on the Devils because of the recent. I am not sold on the Canes. Give me Broduer and home ice at only -125 any day of the week

I agree completely. How can you not bet on STL and Anaheim? Of course, I think STL wins today, and things change. Not sure if I'm willing to back CBJ against Detroit, no matter the juice.

No team in the NHL merits being a 5/1 favorite over anyone, much less another playoff team that also owns the best record in the NHL since the first of year.

I'm already invested in St Louis but if I wasn't and they lost today in Colorado.....

I'd take them at 5/1 on the series, hope they win one of the first two in San Jose and scalp it. Shoot, if they win the opener the buy back would probably be in the San Jose -220 range.

Providing this number came from theGreek you'd think far better prices can be found elsewhere.
