All of them look good except for Lowe. Don't you know that Lowe equals 'no'?

Hey OTK, I was thinkin about takin Phillies for the series also, but at my book its -190, and then I look at tomorrows game and its -200. So I'm thinkin instead of puttin a hundy on the series, just do it for tomorrows game, because if Hamels cant beat Gallardo at home, there pretty much focked alrdy, Agree?

I wouldn't be surprised at all to see Gallardo pitch a great game. he is a hard nosed pitcher who will not be intimidated of the situation. The Phillies brand of ball isn't meant to hold up in the post season. One thing Sveum has done since taking over as manager has been to incorporate small ball into this team. Should come in very beneficial in winning some playoff games

Expecting showers and cool temps at game time in Philly. Be careful backing a big fav---that pitcher may not get to decide the game.

I agree for the most part. If Philly doesn't win tomorrow they are in trouble in the series, but can definitely still win it. Philly should win tomorrow though.

There is value on the Dodgers tomorrow. Hotter team coming into the playoffs and Lowe has been good this year. This game is probably 50/50. A lot of pressure on the Cubs.

Hell of a game by Danks tonight. The Sox will lose in 3 or 4 to the Rays though.

Was injured all year.

Had a phenomenal year in '07 though:

Gallardo is a great pitcher and will be the ace for Milwaukee next season. He should be out of form because of his injury though and this is a tough spot for him pitching @ Philly against Hamels.

I see both young guys giving up a few runs in this one.

Will just add my playoff record to my season record at the end. All three series bets won their first games today also.

Chicago Cubs (Zambrano) -163

Philadelphia (Myers) +124

Chi Sox/Tampa Bay under 8.5 (Vazquez/Shields) -110

OTK I would have thought you would have had a play on T-Bay with Shields going at home today?

Too much juice. I would want to see how the Rays respond to a playoff game before laying 80 cents on them. There might be some small value on the Sox today, but I can't play them. It should be lower scoring though so I'm just going to play the under.

Of course OTK it's always natural to second guess our picks after the fact (especially when our current selection(s) are in serious trouble) but I think based on the Tampa Bay Devil Rays home record this year and the fact that the White Sox had won each ot their final 3 games to get here all on home field, there was no doubt that Tampa had to be the play ahead of the under (or over for that matter) in this, game one. Added to that is the fact that picking Tampa Bay to win the series, a short best of five, today was vital in that aspect as well for Tampa Bay bettors. Tough one and I want to add that totals are extremely tough to conquer in the posteseason. Tonight for exampple, one would think Zambrano would be a decent under wager but the fact remains he's a pretty solid replica of former pitcher Oil Can 'blow up' Boyd, meaning the Cubbies could easily prevail 6-5 at Wrigley tonight.

Will likely be on Tampa Bay to beat Boston for the series, and still not sure about the Philly/LAD series. Initially thought for sure Dodgers beat the Phills, and still think they are the better team, but something tells me Philly wins.
