Well I did make one mistake in this tournament, I thought that it was no limit, but it is not! This will take 3-5 hours if I win, damn!!!!
Well it is now 1 hour into the tournament and after starting with 800 chips I belive, I now have 2800. The tourney started with about 450 players and only 335 left. I would be in about 9th place right now. I am on table #31 right now. COme to the table and I will tell you my username

5 minute break now. We have officially been playing for 1 hour now. Only 321 players out of 450 left. I have slipped back a bit with NO HANDS in the past 7 hands. The ante bets are costing me. I have only 2324 chips right now. That would put me in about 15th place right now. The top 50 win money! First place is about $3500 with second $2000 down to 50th place being $75 I think. Of course it goes up each place before 50 though. If i can finish in the top 6, then that would be cool since it would pay AT LEAST $500.
Entry fee was only $30.
My only problem now is that I might fall asleep before the tourney finishes. I really HATE regular holdum. No limit is THE ONLY way to go in these big tourney formats

Believe me I'm not that good. I thought I was going to get eatin up alive by some of the RX players here. I got in a game with Players, Swami,Tekari and Irish and I was very lucky to be getting great cards that night otherwise those sharks would have had me for dinner. I like Bigbet so I'm willing to play for low stakes if we get another RX night going.

raiders..thanks for putting me in the company of tekari and irish but im not THAT good. i can certainly hold my own but those two guys are the class of the rx from what ive seen (1 game). actually, i thought you played very well at our 1st poker night. in fact i looked around the table to identify someone worse than me and you were definitely NOT that guy. you may have been dealt good cards but you sure as hell knew how to extract the most value from them.
with the exception of a few players,i thought the skill level was close. there was only one player who seemed to be outclassed and i don't think he was part of the rx. it was a fun game that was competitive yet not cut-throat.

Well sorry about the confusion, at that time of 1:51 we still had a table 23, then I guess in the next 20 minutes, people got eliminated and I was sent to another table.
Well at one time I was down to 150 chips with everyone at my table at 2000+++.
So I had to get into the 400 chip ante with my 150 chips since it was my turn to post the small blind. Naturally, i only had a2-7 offsuit. Thinking I would lose, I noticed that 7 people stayed in before the flop. All of a sudden, what shows up but 2 pair on the 2-7!! Now I only won about 1000 chips, but it was a start. Of course taht pot went to like 2500 chips with the other players playing for the rest, but I at least got a little lucky. Then the next hand I of course went all in and had a straight and got lucky that 2 other players were playing as well so my pot went to 3000 chips. I was winning and losing for a LONG time until my last hand where I had jack-queen in my hand. I see before me 8-9-10-2-10 on the table. Of course i have the high straight and no flush was possible.
But the strangest thing was happening after the flop, one guy actually raised me and since the flush was still possible, i didnt reraise. But then after the river he went all-in. Now it came to mind that he may have the same straight, so if that is the case, I go all in as well. Then I thought that maybe he has the full house, well i had to take the chance, so I went all in as well.
WELL I'LL BE damn!! He had four ****innggggg 10's!! I dont believe that I played the hand wrong though, just got unlucky. After 8-9-10, I couldnt raise too high since hte flush was still possible, but maybe I should have. But he probably wouldnt have folded anyway since he had 3 of a kind!
Well I finished in 34th place in the mone3y, but not a big profit. Of well, I will play again tonight at 01:30 est. They may not have a tourney tonight though since it is a satellite tourney, but the next one will be no limit

thanks for the update. is the tourney 1:30am est??!?!?! that's crazy, who the hell on the east coast can start a tourney at 1:30am?
what's your ID on party? if we join the same tourney, maybe we can have a last longer side bet between us..nothing major..just a small wager.
on an unrelated note, i was looking for a book on short handed play and mcirish recommended "hold em for advanced players." you should pick it up. the short handed section is pretty solid and ive used the concepts over the last few days on party's 5/10 hold em, 6 max tables. overall i found the concepts maybe a little too advanced for me and i question whether some of the plays would work at limits lower than 10/20 but a good read nonetheless.
