I feel very sorry for all who are dealing with the GA mess, but I personally would never even consider playing at a second or third tier book such as them. Stick with the heavyweights people.

Basically agree, no doubt.

Having said that, it is not really fair to the really really good people with intentions of running a quality shop. Personally, I will play at any new book that I think is deserving of my money. However, will keep my balances there a fraction of what I have at other books that have proven themselves to be an A+ sportsbook.

Just as in investing you should never have all your eggs in one basket, but it is OK in my eyes to have a small % of your gambling capital in high risk books if you feel the possible return is worth the risk. JUST know the risk when you are dealing with these new books, and don't be surprised when one goes belly up, and start crying to the forum about who's fault it was, it's your fault. If only one out of every 10 books that offered you a 20% bonus went under I would say it is at worst a break even venture.Posters can blame anyone they want for getting them to postup at one of these new books, but you made the bet live with it. NO different then when someone comes in here touting a game and it loses, do you blame that person because you followed his advice.

General just listed my outs -1. [Not including very small balance in GA].

But I do agree with Fish. As of yesterday, I have a low balance account at a new reduced juice shop which if it should go under would rock this industry like it ain't ever been rocked before.

I see this as the death knell for many smaller shops. I know there have been isolated catastrophic events worse than what has happened this week, but I don't recall this many rumors of doom regarding so many shops. Certainly not all are crooks, but the economics of a quickly changing industry I believe will eat them up.

Since there can be no antitrust laws where there are no laws, I see the industry giants ultimately gobbling up the ma and pa joints.
They will be paid for there customer base, we will be relatively safe and millionaires will become billionaires. Nothing more than capitalism at it's best or worst depending on how you look at it.

I had Mrs. Jones look at this post. She said it's pretty elementary stuff. But then she added "The Greek will be WalMart."

BTW, I hear "well Pinnacle was small once" which is correct. And they were high risk when they were. How many of these small books are going to become Pinnacles??? 1 - 1000 ???

Agree with the names in the posted lists, but I would also add:

-Hollywood
-Cascade

So in my opinion that list would look like this:

WWTS
Pinnacle
Olympic
Cris
Canbet
Grande
Hollywood
Cascade

Credit must be given, where credit is due. And Hollywood books most of these other shops. They're solid bookmakers, the place where the risk is managed, a la Grande, if you wish. We also know where Pinny lays off in MLB: @ Lenny's. So why not give these guys credit?

These are just facts.
