Redskins quarterback Robert Griffin III is active Sunday for the first time all season due to the number of injuries. All seven of the Redskins inactive are unable to play because of injuries.
Running back Chris Thompson could end up being a busy man today. The Redskins might need to throw a lot of screens to offset the Jets' pressure. He'll also have to be sharp in protection to handle all the various blitzes. The benefit for Thompson: he practiced vs. Arizona's blitzes last season --where Jets head coach Todd Bowles was the defensive coordinator last season.
The Bengals have 19 offensive TDs this season. Seven of them have come on drives that lasted two minutes or less, tied for most in the NFL. They also, per ESPN Stats & Information, have an NFL-high five TDs on drives lasting one minute or less.
Alshon Jeffery is running routes in pregame warm ups. Jeffery has not done any field work prior to games since Week 1. Jeffery is expected to play versus the Lions, despite being officially listed as questionable on the injury report.
