Kruser6 said:I hope this is not a bias opinion, but I am on it with ya for I feel the Braves will come out of the gates tomorrow strong. Their offense is going to be good this year!
Kruser6 said:Well someone had to say it. . . Actually I was just messing around with you. I know you arent someone who is just going to post plays on your favorite team, and for some people that is the best way to make plays. Betting on a team that you follow very closely and know alot about can be very profitable betting with/against them. Picking your spots is key! Good luck.
By the way Andruw Jones has been my favorite player since the day he came in the league, he is the $hit and they are expecting a huge year from him.
MathProf said:Choptalk,
Did you start regular season with 6-3 exhibition record?
Good luck with both of today's plays!
divitae said:Could you post everyday something like "no more plays today" ? Thanks !
choptalk said:Regardless if this first game wins or loses, I feel really good about the Atlanta pick. We can still have a very good day. Best of luck to everyone.
BaseballGuy said:Chop arent you the least bit worried about Smoltz's stamina? The guy has been a closer nearly all of his career. What good is 3 scoreless innings if he gives up 5 in the 4th? Also I really don't like the braves starting lineup this year. It is almost completely void of power.
choptalk said:This is Smoltz 18th year, and his 15th as a starter. I fully expect him to be able to compete at a high level this season, at least until the all-star break. The Braves have owned Beckett his entire career. He had a very medicore season last year. He is still living off his WS hype from 2 years ago. Thus the value on the Braves. How many pitchers go past 5 innings in the opening start anyway? Not very many. The Braves offense is very underated this year.
Fucal- Solid leadoff hitter with pop
Giles- an all star caliber 2nd baseman
C Jones- Played much better last season when he moved back to 3rd.
A Jones- In a contract year, hit 13 homers in the spring still only 28
Raul Mondesi- could surprise like JD Drew last season
A Larouse- comming off a great last 2 months of the season as a rookie
J Estradia- All star catcher for the NL
Brian Jordan- I do not expect much from him, but he is the 8 hitter
choptalk said:Is this the year Rivera gets old? Would like to hear everyones thoughts. He sure hung a couple split fastballs today. Almost gave up go ahead homer to Damon. If thats the case, the Yanks are in trouble.
booze said:I hope so, but I think the Sox just have his number.
Damnnit Jeter just went yard
