A shocking new video claims to present undercover footage proving that some Planned Parenthood’s affiliates use partial birth abortions to sell fetal parts.
A video, titled, “Planned Parenthood Uses Partial-Birth Abortions to Sell Baby Parts,” from the Center for Medical Progress, a group concerned with medical ethics, features comments from Dr. Deborah Nucatola, Planned Parenthood Federation of America’s senior director of medical services, allegedly showing her describing how some doctors carefully conduct abortions that leave fetal body parts in tact.
Nucatola reportedly made these comments on July 25, 2014, to actors whom she believed were actual representatives and buyers from a human biologics company. The comments appear to recount a process through which some abortion doctors purportedly carefully conduct procedures in an effort to keep specific fetal body parts in tact.
“Every provider has had patients who want to donate their tissue and they absolutely want to accommodate them. They just want to do it in a way that is not perceived as, ‘This clinic is selling tissue, this clinic is making money off of this,’” she said in the clip. “You know, I would throw a number out, I would say it’s probably anywhere from $30 to $10 [per specimen], depending on the facility and what’s involved.”

Nucatola is seen eating a meal along with the actors as she discusses which parts of unborn fetuses she would avoid “crushing” if she knows that they are needed to be kept in tact. Knowing specifics, the doctor said, makes all the difference.
“It makes a huge difference. I’d say a lot of people want liver. And for that reason, most providers will do this case under ultrasound guidance, so they’ll know where they’re putting their forceps,” she said. “The kind of rate-limiting step of the procedure is calvarium. Calvarium—the head — is basically the biggest part. Most of the other stuff can come out in tact”
Nucatola continued, “We’ve been very good at getting heart, lung, liver, because we know that, so I’m not gonna crush that part, I’m gonna basically crush below, I’m gonna crush above, and I’m gonna see if I can get it all intact.”

In another clip presented in the Center for Medical Progress video, Cecile Richards, president and CEO of Planned Parenthood, is seen praising Nucatola as “amazing.”
“We do fetal tissue collection, and she’s been very helpful,” an actor can be heard telling Richards.
The CEO responded, “Okay great, thank you. She’s amazing.”
It is unclear whether Richards was aware of what the actor meant by “fetal tissue collection” or if there is a deeper context that is not presented in the edited video, though the sale and purchase of fetal tissue is barred under federal law.
President Ronald Reagan signed a bill into law banning the practice back in 1988.

David Daleiden, leader of the Human Capital project with the Center for Medical Progress, lambasted Planned Parenthood in a statement accompanying the release of the video.
“Planned Parenthood’s criminal conspiracy to make money off of aborted baby parts reaches to the very highest levels of their organization,” he said. “Elected officials must listen to the public outcry for Planned Parenthood to be held accountable to the law and for our tax dollars to stop underwriting this barbaric abortion business.”
Calls placed by TheBlaze to Planned Parenthood and Nucatola’s office went unanswered on Tuesday.
