Anyone know why the total has come down so far on this game? I don't see any weather or injury concerns, and the offenses have all the advantages in this one. I like this one to play into the 70's.

Other than the fact that it is really going to be cold, and Pitt has no offense to speak of, no.

42 degrees might be cold in North Carolina, but it isn't cold. PITT has a somewhat above average offense, with a pretty good running game. How does that amount to no offense? I rank North Carolina's defense at 94th, though they are better against the run than the pass, which will help.

Asinine comments much, or just sore from previous post rebuttals? lol

Watched UNC give up 70 to ECU and Pitt give up 56 and 51 to Georgia Tech and Duke. Two four and five teams, who have nothing to hold back, the play is over or no play.

Yeah, I'm probably going to have to take advantage of this steam. Really the only concern I have is PITT managing the clock with the run.

Think Pitt committed five turnovers in the 1st quarter vs. G Tech ... believe turnovers from both teams could benefit you.

With Pitt's defense really fading lately while their passing game is getting quite proficient -- everything lines up for a high-scoring game against a pass-happy UNC. Pulled the trigger for a unit.

You can rank whoever you want whatever you want. The fact is that Pitt ranks 62nd in total offense and in their last 6 games (5 of which they have lost) they have averaged 24 pg, and that includes the 48 they put up on Duke. They rank 14th in total defense. What may suprise y9ou is that UNC's offense ranks 74th, well below Pitt's. I did not wager on the game. I just told you a reason why the game could go under. It is a meaningless game, as you will agree to, and I really do not have the time to spend on meaningless games unless there is a huge discrepancy in the line. I do not see one here.

I'm here in Charlotte, several hours from Chapel Hill and it's going to be perfect football weather. UNC's D is a comic tragedy at best, without looking it up, I'd be willing to bet the worst in the ACC. Pitt should be able to get well above their average, if UNC can score 30+, I'd say it sails over. Disclosure: Hadn't even considered playing this, got too much on the table already. GL
