To me Pinnacle offer those high money lines on NBA spreads in an attempt to middle players rather than being middled themselves.
They usually offer the high moneylines on one side on a spread about 1.5pts less value than generally available. Presumably this attracts some money on that side. Later in the day their lines fall into accordance with everyone elses with -moneylines but the 1.5pts added/subtracted.
There may be little chance of middling an individual match but over the course of a season doing this a few times a day I guess they will hit enough to make a nice profit.
