It will happen a lot in bottom of 5th, without checking I would bet it's a higher than average inning to score runs in. Starters are beginning to get their pitch count up and hitters will be coming up approx the 3rd time against the same pitcher if he's still in the game. Third time through the order can be hard on many starters. So far today 3 of the 6 games have scored in the bottom of 5th. Of course that % won't hold true for long but there will be lots of cancellations.

Still love it though. I won't ever have to sit on a winning bet now if I ever hit one.

Will be interesting to see the total of the Rockies game. So far only 1 run scored in the high altitude up there, that is surely going to change....

This kinda sucks as both of these look like easy winners...

That a way to go LA, makes 5 of 9 games so far that had a run scored in the bottom of the 5th. Sigh.

One other thing comes into play in the bottom of the 5th, a pitcher has to throw 5 complete to get a win. Often times a manager will do all he can to keep his guy in through 5 even if he's starting to struggle. For sure big leads, a team is up 10-0 what do they care if their man gives up a run or two in the bottom of 5th, they aren't going to pull him unless they absolutely have to. Anyway enough of this for one day, I'm starting to mumble to myself now.
