I have noted this game in the college foots forum. First off Army was leading TCU by 17 before a last minute collapse. That game was a key in learning to win. Then they beat Cincinnati by 19 before taking down South Florida by 7. Point being, while not yet a juggernaut, Bobby Ross has the old Army team peaking like we have maybe never seen before since WW11. They are an offensive force to be reckoned with right now. It was a bad time for USF to run into them.
As for USF, they have scored 100 points in their last 3 games while giving up 147 in their last four nevermind their win at TCU was 2OT.
I have USF +31 at Bowmans and O57 at The Greek.
The latter wager looks REAL GOOD to me. The former one does too as I am being spotted 4 TD's and a field goal. Louisville will score and score but I expect South Florida to put some scores up also. Keep in mind that prior to the Army game, USF lost to a tough Southern Miss squad by 7 in a game much closer than that and they beat TCU on the road prior to that. Having an overtime win against Louisville last year may work to USF's favor as well. Its an embarrassment to beat a club one year and be a 4+ TD's dog the next. Look for manic coach Jim Leavitt to pound his head into a locker and bloody himself to prove that point to his squad
Louisville did look great against Miami but still they lost it late giving up 41. It was Miami's second best offensive effort of the year.
Yea I went to USF, live 30 minutes away, but after the first couple of years when they were a goldmine to play on I have at times bet against them usually with success. This is not a homer play.
Would love to see USF expert Fishhead chime in here.
