This is all based on my experience with Pinnacle so take it for what its worth. I believe pinnacle has the Sharpest lines out their. Two reason I believe this , they are the only book that consistently beat me. In other words when I go line shopping and they have the best price more times then not I lose. Second, with their low juice they have to be sharp, with their margin for error a lot less then other books.

What does that all mean?

I can't beat pinnacle so how can I use this to my advantage?

When I check several books(mostly square books, I do not check it against olympic I believe pretty sharp plus i have a feeling SPiro may be looking over pinnacles shoulder sometimes) and I find that they have a better line hanging then pinnacle on a game I bet it. You must check several books because their are some lazy books so just because they have a better line doesn't mean pinnacle has an opinionated line it might be the other books line is off so check at least 2 books.

I am only doing this for Hockey right now. May try it for bases.

When I post a pinnacle lean realize it is a spot bet. What I mean by that is I am checking the lines at 3 or 4 books at the same time and if I see a major difference between pinnacles line and the other books line I bet it at the other book. So what was a pinnacle lean when I post it doesn't mean it is when you read it because the lines could have changed and eliminated the line differential.

I hope this helps, If you have any questions feel free to ask.Obviously a trained monkey can do this if you have time, I will keep posting the leans in the RR picks thread, unless you guys don't think it is of use.

THe pinnacle leans I post are the bets I have made.

man jwunder is getting pounded on this, so ill try to help, the different is usually in the money line
heres an example
penguins Vs rangers Moneyline
book 1 rangers -160
book 2 rangers -160
book 3 rangers -160
PINNACLE rangers -145

so now, all the line shoppers that want to take the rangers see rangers 15 cents cheaper at pinnacle, so obviously they bet there. And in turn, no line shoppers will take the penguins cuz they can get a higher + elsewhere.

So whats that mean, pinnacle think thats the penguins are going to win, and wants everyone to bet the rangers with them and bet the penguins elsewhere. So therefore we are giving pinnacle credit at being able to pick a winner in the penguins adn we are going to take the penguins at another book

Thanks JW. So far it looks like you might be on to something, seems like everyone here has the same opinion about Pinnacle. I don't know shit about betting hockey games, but a lot of these leans tend to favor the underdogs... And I don't feel too comfortable laying money on a bunch of +100 and +110 bets, but what the hell do I know, your record so far speeks for itself.

I bet alot through Pinnacle & they have the sharpest lines IMO. Because of them I've cashed in on some big winners over the last year in change.

Oren,

I just started to track a couple of weeks ago only when I have time to compare do I do this. SO far 17-11 +845(based on $100 bet),I assume you are kidding when you say you are not comfortable betting small dogs? If you are serious then my guess is it is because you don't do alot of Hockey or Baseball. I think everyone that has years of experience knows you can't win consistently betting big Favorites in Hockey and bases.

GL, the experiment continues
