NEW YORK (AP) - Pink Floyd's new album will arrive on Nov. 10.

A Monday news release gives fresh details about "The Endless River," the British rock 'n' roll group's first new material in 20 years.

The 18-song double album features band members David Gilmour, Nick Mason and Richard Wright, who died in 2008. Roger Waters left the group in 1985 and isn't involved.

The album was assembled from 20 hours of material recorded during the band's 1993 sessions for "The Division Bell."

Gilmour says in the release that the band "added new parts, rerecorded others and generally harnessed studio technology to make a 21st-century Pink Floyd album."

"The Endless River" is comprised mostly of instrumental music with just one song, "Louder Than Words," that includes new lyrics, written by Gilmour's wife, Polly Samson.

Love Pink Floyd. Can't stand Roger Waters because he insists on interjecting his politics so fuck him and I glad he is not involved.

I'm a floyd fan too , but unless i can go back to the 70's and drop acid and listen on headphones , i cant imagine listening to an 18 song double album that has only 1 song with vocals.

Was all of "Divivsion Bell" instumental ?

I agree to this and I love Floyd as well...the album seems more of some type of a marketing ploy than anything.

he wrote The Wall, Animals, Welcome To The Machine, Dark Side Of the Moon...etc....What did those other guys ever do ? The division bell was mediocre at best. Radio Kaos was a sick album.....politics ? ya mean like peace ?

Don't really tell me that his politics are peace. That is bs. Singling out Israel and not pointing the finger at radical islam is hypocritical at best.

Division Bell and Momentary Lapse of Reason both had very good tracks on them but were obviously not their best albums overall. I dont think it was as much losing waters that made them suck as it was the 80's arriving and them having to adapt to the times. Pink had three very distinct eras and all are good within their own right. Gilmour still has soul and can sing and play his ass off, where Wagers on the other hand hasnt released one decent track since departing mostly because he is very creative but not that great of a musician(in my opinion),

There was a gr8 documentary on AXS tv earlier this week; really got me back there to a Floyd Concert I went to in Akron, OHIO in 1972 or so; before the heavy laser/light show; but they did have an explosion during "Carefull with that ax Eugene."; hey there were brain cells oozing out on the floor that night; everyone was tripping out their mind; into the ozone; and more.WOW, what a concert.!!!
