</TD></TR><TR><TD vAlign=top colSpan=3>After sitting out practice, Pierre Thomas (MCL sprain) walked with a noticeable limp in the Saints' locker room Monday.
Thomas is not exhibiting quick recover ability. His latest injury -- a laceration revealed by coach Sean Payton on Monday -- isn't serious, but beat writer Mike Triplett says Thomas' chances of playing Week 1 "are looking slim." Thomas owners need to have Mike Bell on their roster. The Saints play Detroit.

Wow Reggie Bush could have a big game but it scares me when he takes too many carries during one game because he has proven to be fragile. Good for Mike Bell and good for the Lions.

Reggie Bush will "start," but Mike Bell is in line for goal-line carries and most of the work between the tackles. A legitimate candidate for upwards of 20 touches, Bell is a high-upside RB2/flex play against the Lions. Thomas' status for Week 2 is up in the air. The Saints visit Philadelphia next week.
