As someone who can play 6 of the 7 sports at a college level right now, I will tell you tennis takes the most strenght, especailly if your playing your 5th match in 3 days in high humidity on clay, your fighting blisters, cramps, tendinitis, dehydration, mental and physical fatigue, especially if you have the wrong body type for the game like myself or Boris Becker or Taylor Dent.

well, I'm not talking about stimina here,
but more like who are the strongest.
or else marathon runners would be the strongest.

what i mean is like, in an 1-on-1 fighting match, a tennis player is very likely to beat up a golf player. eg> Agassi vs Tiger.

but a basketball player can easily beat up a tennis player. eg> Malone vs sampras

Hockey players are much stronger than soccer. Basketball are the biggest wusses at least on the amateur level. It does NOT take strength. Moreso the ability to travel and get away with it(almost every play in basketball is a travel.)

Where is rugby BTW?

LMAO

Where do these assessments come from.

Hockey down near the bottom? I have played a few sports at both University and "Junior A" level, and that list is a mess. You said "in a fighting match" so this is where I have to wonder.........

Hockey players (I can attest) are the ONLY ones that do not care if each other are wearing helmets/masks when throwing punches. (other than lacrosse players who almost always play hockey as well).
Each of those sports contain "athletes" in their own right, but those basketball players could be the funniest fighters next to womens floor hockey. IF there is ever an altercation , all you will see is arms flailing and each side hoping for someone to step in the middle of it before someone blows a fingernail.

And where physical strength is required, any sport that requires you to move constantly while you are constantly being hit ,requires MORE strength.
So your list should REALLY be more LIKE this one:
1.(Aussie Rules Football,Rugby,Lacrosse,Hockey)
2. Anything else except those "slap-happy" basketball players who leave games over a boil on their asses.

yeap basketball players seem to be the less physically fit (except golf) of the lot, wrestling in first place is bollocks too, in terms of strength there are a lot of types too, endurance strenght, power, explosivity etc. hard to compare sport types in terms of one to one fight...

Max if your scoring avrage is 76.50 you can pretty much play college golf. I might not be the best player on the team, but I would make the cut.

Rail,

That 76.5 average would be on good courses set up by local amateur officials wanting to make them play tough. Courses for am tourneys are set up hard. Averaging 76.5 on your local muni playing with the guys is a long way from playing in college tourneys on courses you haven't seen before the practice round. You said your best score was 72. You might find a juco that would let you walk on but even then you'd be a long shot to qualify for a tourney. The caliber of players today is off the charts compared to when you were in college. Check out the AJGA scores of the 15-16 yr olds and you'll see what I mean. You might make a college tennis team but golf would be a huge long shot.

BTW... congrats on your BB picks. Doing well from what I've seen.
