this game isnt costly in itself going 3-1 vs mets in this series....however it is the most demoralizing loss of the last 5 years that i can remember . if they do indeed lose, the nature of the loss will have far more impact than the cost of losing 1 game in the standings.

this is a great win, make no mistake about it. it has/ could be a season of destiny, but......if they dont see that they need to cut mesa, and rethink alfonseca, then this game did more damage than good.


I think they needed to lose this game to realize how terrible manuel is and how bad mesa is.

Im so excited we won and trail by only 2 games.....but realistically, how far can we go in the playoffs playong half the games in this launching pad?

if we dont blow anyone out, we dont win close games like this...they got lucky today...period

what a rollarcoaster ride, this game undoubtedly shaved some time off my life.. I still will not understand why Gordon was not in for the 8th unless Myeres was infact not available and he was saving gordon to close? regardless, he should have been in when 6 fingers started to struggle

wow, i was on the mets, huge for the 1st 5 innings and lost in the bottom of the 5th, then robbed again in the 9th, bad pitching lost the game, deff not the phillies bats, but great game and im not even that upset lol

WOW, what a game! I had no action on that game, nor am I a fan of either team. Best game this year by far. Atmosphere was amazing, and the players treated it like it was game 7 of the WS it seemed like.

didnt philly outhit new york 17-10?
phillies free passes and errors are all that gave new york a chance. otherwise, this was a pretty lopsided game that new york had no business being in.
