Between 3 guys I know of today they have about 100 grand on the over in this one. Would surprise me if it lost considering how often one of them bets during the course of a year and what his record is.

That's Phil Steele in the nutshell ... falsifying lines to improve his record. I have been a Power Sweep customer for 14 years and have seen this BS week-in & week-out. As other's pointed out, there was no such thing as a +3 this evening. Wagermall which has 12 handicppers had Balt +2 -120 as their best line. I am not sure why everyone is fixated by NC sports. A bit of advice guys, buy Power Sweep for the content and stay away from Phil Steele's hype. I've learned the hard way over the years!

I checked the line about 5 minutes before 6 p.m. Eastern -- and it was a solid 3 in downtown Las Vegas. Even though Phil is not having a very good NFL pre-season -- he can still make the line run. Immediately after Phil gave out the Ravens, it dropped to Philadephia -2 most places --- and the best line I could find in Vegas (for those betting Baltimore) was +2.5.

This all happened within 60 seconds after Phil gave out the play.

It seemed like the sharps and squares both were on the Ravens. And the Panthers on Thurs. Books don't like to move off the key #3, but they did it both nights. A win and a loss you see. I doubt if we see many moves off 3 during the season.
And if it happens, be alert! The motive of the move could be the key to the Win! Think Sharp and Cash!!

I agree re the regular season. But pre-seaaon is different. Especially this year. Lines are jumping and books eagerly move off of 3.

They did it again on August 21. In fact, there was even a change of favorite on Saturday -- starting from 3.
