This is not the Colts of years past!!! It is not just about Peyton. This is a banged up soft team right now that is going to get physically tortured this evening by a solid running game and sick defense. They will be in Peytons grill all night. Colts without Sanders is Huge and Addai is better than Rhodes. Tenn should win and cover this game but anything of course can happen.

I know the Colts have injuries and have not played up to their potential, but I think it is safe to say the Colts own this Titans team. Lets look at the games from recent memory.

HEAD TO HEAD DETAIL

12/30/2007 Sun TEN 16 IND 10
09/16/2007 Sun IND 22 TEN 20
12/03/2006 Sun IND 17 TEN 20
10/08/2006 Sun TEN 13 IND 14
12/04/2005 Sun TEN 3 IND 35
10/02/2005 Sun IND 31 TEN 10
12/05/2004 Sun TEN 24 IND 51
09/19/2004 Sun IND 31 TEN 17
12/07/2003 Sun IND 29 TEN 27
09/14/2003 Sun TEN 7 IND 33

Only in ONE of these meetings did Tennessee beat Indy by more than a FG. Yes, it was the last time they met. And what was the situation? Tennessee playing for a playoff birth, against a Colts offense lead by Jim Sorgi, because the Colts were resting their starters. By no means is this Tennessee team covering four a lock. And I do not think the Addai injury is as critical as some seem to think. You arent going to be able to run on the Titans, so most of their plays will come through the air and Rhodes can catch the ball.

Who said anything about a lock? I never uses those words with any game. I dont care about years past results. I just feel that this Tenn team is on a mission and a bad physical matchup for the Colts. I am personally playing the moneyline.. Not laying any points even though I can see a 14 point win here.

Excellent post. That Titan "win" last year is a huge *

Getting more than a FG in a divisional game in a series that has been so one sided seems like a very good wager to me.

There were undoubtedly times in those above games that the Colts have had bad injuries and still played to within a FG or won, including when Marvin Harrison and Bob Sanders missed significant time. As long as Manning has Dallas Clark, Marvin, and Reggie Wayne, they are still a force. I fully expect him to keep them within at least a FG of these Titans. Sure Tennessee has looked like world beaters against the Chiefs and Texans of the league, but they were mighty lucky to come out with a win against a Baltimore team that the Colts destroyed.

Exactly.. in the end, who would you rather have money on during the game tonight.. Peyton Manning, or the reformed boozehound, Kerry Collins?

I think Manning has to play lights out for the Colts to even hang around. Their running game leaves something to be desired, and with Addai out, even more so. They can't stop the run to save their lives.

It does seem almost nuts that the Colts will look terrible 2 weeks in a row, but I just don't think they can match up with the Titans physically. Also, we know Tenn wants to prove to the whole world that they are the team to beat, and there is no greater platform than MNF, embarrasing the hell out of Manning and the Colts.

You guys who live on comparisons to past games are missing the forest for the trees...
Newsflash! This isnt last year....and these teams are very different than those teams...
Don't overanalyze the situation...Titans are much better on defense and defense wins championships (refer to multiple Super Bowl winners who had only serviceable QBs)...Indy is banged up bad...Peyton's knee is not fully recovered...they are on grass...not in a dome...

If it walks like a duck, and quacks like a duck and smells like a duck...

Don't look a gift duck in the beak...

Yeah Seriously, WTF does anything last year have to do with this year unless the teams are completely the same? Indianapolis Owns Tennessee??? So did PENN ST two days ago, which most of us on this forum were on huge, never won there since the umm...1200's, I could go on with other examples but it would be a waste of my time. If this is the only reason you're taking Indy tonight, god help you.

If a team owns a divisional opponent for a sustained period of time as Indy has Tennessee, New England has Buffalo, etc, than that DOES matter. It is one of many reasons to play Indy, but to think that is the only reason is beyond ridiculous. I think this says it all- it is a must-win divisional game for Indy who has a Hall of Fame QB who has never lost a Monday Night football game, and they are playing an opponent who is solid, but is inflated due to having the second lowest strength of schedule in the NFL thus far. Ill take my shot with the Hall of Famer and leave Kerry Collins for the suckers who want to bet an undefeated team that has beat up on the likes of Kansas City and Houston.

And I will be here after the game, win it or lose it.

GL to you, but I'll take a team that beat up on Houston vs a team that got punched in the mouth by an unaggressive Texan team who SUCKS on defense. If something like that happens against Tenn tonight, I'll take my loss, but I'll go with the percentages....

Should be an interesting game.. a lot of very good cappers I have seen at this site and others are split on what they believe is going to happen. I think a lot to do with that is people have differing opinions on whether Indy is for real or really is not a playoff team this season. I for one think they are.
