I took the Colts 2nd half -6.5 for 3 units and won.

I turned around and put 2.5 of the units on Manning to win MVP +350.
2.5 units to win 8.75.

I also had a Colts season win total that tied, with 1 final game remaining ( tie or win).

With all of those injuries, the big win today, locking in the 5th seed. I already heard numerous media types ( mike and mike in the morning, espn etc.) guys talk about Manning winning the MVP and I personally think he deserves it. If they had Joe Quarterback, this team is in dead last place. I think the odds should be Manning to win MVP +200 or less, +350 is too high. If Romo played the entire year, he'd have a chance, and if Minnesota were a little bit better Peterson would have a chance, but I think the media gives it to Peyton this year. Especially with that strong is it 9 game win streak?

Has to be Matt Ryan. He is easily the biggest reason for the Falcons' turnaround and according to Football Outsiders is the best quarterback on a per play basis (fifth overall). Ryan's also faced a tougher schedule

Aaron Schatz and his people are a joke. They had the Giants finish in last place last year to pick Jake Long #1 in the draft and look at what happens. Boom, they were as wrong as you could possibly be.

They are just a bunch of geeks that know nothing about gambeling. They don't think wind has any effect on scoring in an NFL game.

If you took Peyton Manning off the Colts, they are right down there with the Bengals as a 2 win football team and maybe even worse. If you took Adrian Peterson off the Vikings, they still have Chester the child molester Taylor and they aren't horrible. They still should have to make the playoffs too for Peterson to even be considered vs Peyton Manning to win MVP.

I think the media goes with the safe bet and Peyton Manning that kept that team together despite his injury and all of theirs.

Peyton Manning to win MVP just moved from +350 at my book to +275. Looks like some other sharpies bit too. I heard Chris Mortensen on the radio saying as of right now he is voting Manning and he does have a vote.

The book has Peterson and Warner ahead of Manning, but I see P diddy winning it.

Peyton has got to be 1st right now, but in a league with so many close playoff battles right now a monster back-to-back performance by someone like AP or someone to get their team in the playoffs could make a difference. Great value at 350 though either way

Yeah, it shouldn't have been more than +200 or +250, especially after that game in Jacksonville.

also remember Peyton's heroic win over Minny ( peterson) early in the year. Mort brought that up too, and the voters will consider it.

C-Gold you're wrong. FO has some of the best and most innovative football stats out there. It's funny how you talk about what would happen to certain teams if they lost their MVP candidate but you failed to bring up the Falcons and Matt Ryan. Please tell me where they'd be with a replacement level QB. And if you TRULY, REALLY think the Colts would be 2-14 with a replacement level QB instead of Peyton Manning than you're doubly wrong. What about the o-line? What about Wayne, Gonzalez, Clark, and Harrison? I could go on... I'm not saying Manning won't win the MVP, because we all know the voting for these awards can be a joke, I'm saying he definitely does not deserve it. He has put up his best stats late in the year versus CAKE teams.

The football outsiders are a bunch of chest thumping dopes. A.S. doesn't know very much about football besides the statistical aspects. I talk with those guys all the time and they don't even know very very basic things. Do you think that geek every played even highschool football? How the heck can you claim to be the top football expert and not know what an "X" receiver is? It's comical.

Last year Aaron picked the NY giants to finish dead last in the NFL and draft jake long. They draged their feet the entire way and said that the giants are overrated, they had the Giants 18th in Dvoa blah blah blah. They said the Giants were most likely to be blown out in the first round of the playoffs last year, 2nd round nfc, and then " if the giants win, it will be the greatest upset of all time". Gee, do you think maybe their geeky stats MIGHT be incorrect?

Peyton Manning calls his own plays. It is almost impossible to defend a healthy colts team. The freaking redskins won't even let their QB call audibles, but Peyton Manning can call his own plays. They go on long drives, and are very efficient. I don't care what you say, if Manning's stats = say Cutler, Rivers or anybody else's then Manning's feat is much more impressive considering his imput on that result. Throwing 5 yard screens all day is one thing, walking up to the line, calling runs/pass plays is a totally different thing.

Peyton Manning might be the best player to ever play the game, and keeping that injured roster together might be his most impressive season. He certainly didn't get the help from his overrated turd head coach and that so called defense.

My point about Mort wasn't that he knows his football, my point is that I know who actual voters are voting for. If he has any kind of pull at all, maybe he will pull some more of those writers/reporters with him. He isn't the only one with actual votes already commiting to Peyton.
