There is no humor in degrading Dr. Rice because she is black. I do not think she is qualified either, but it has nothing to do with skin color -- I don't see anyone using rasict remarks to slander the other equally unqualified Bush puppets (Asscroft, Dumsfeld, Wolfowicked, etc ..).

Do you think that both extremes are motivated by hate? One day the tree-huggers are saving dolphins and the next they're calling Colin Powell a slave. It's almost like they're part-time extreme righties without the burning crosses.

This is exactly why I like a split government with centrists at the top -- all of their energy to hate gets spent fighting with each other.

The party in power - isn't 100% in power - and as long as they're fighting with each other, they ain't legislating away our future.
