PETCO Park - good bars nearby?

I'm headed down to San Diego to watch the Padres sweep my Cubbies out of town, and I figure I better be good and drunk before I head to Petco to watch the games. I know we have some San Diego posters here, can any of them tell me a good watering hole near the stadium?

Thanks all. Cap'n, Koronka is facing the Dodgers tonight, the same Dodgers who managed one hit in 10 innings last night, so there is a remote possibility that the Cubs will take this one. Once they meet the Padres for their four-game set this weekend they'll come back to reality - their current win streak is exclusively versus the Rockies and Dodgers.

Edub, I have already claimed diminished capacity in another thread but maybe I should have claimed total incapacity!:drink: Quite a few last night and just starting to come around now! I need to see the Wizard of Oz and ask him for a 'brain", or at least one that works sometime. Have fun in SD, I would love to visit Del Mar sometime when they are running, Saratoga has gotten so crazy and packed everyday you wouldn't believe it.

there is a Hooters within walking distance and while the food might suck and the drinks are not much better - tough to beat the "scenery". now all we gotta do is get Roxy to show up to the bash wearing a Hooters girl outfit!
