yeah always stepping out of the box and adjusting the velcro strap on their gloves. You'd think in this day and age somebody could develop a glove that stays tight and doesnt even use velcro.

I dont know why this bothers me but watching these guys constantly adjusting their gloves drives me batty.

Nomar musta driven you absolute batshit crazy then.

Why do outfielders decoy like they are going to catch the ball, that is the most obvious time that they aren't going to catch it. also, what is with the around the horn bullshit.

Because there are a lot of dumb runners (Starling Castro for one) who look for the ball and not at the coach.

Give me the former please

As a National league fan I am surprised to hear you say that.
Its rare that a National League fan wants the DH.
Especially a fan of one of the most traditional teams in all of baseball.

I misspoke. I hate the DH.

I was thinking the same about you, I was wondering why you liked it. Apparently I had my former and latters mixed up... :ohno:

Teams that can't hit the damn ball.

Seattle being first on my list. Please, just one of these years, field a team that is a little productive.

The game has become super slow.......so all aspects that causes that.

I agree. Slow and boring. I love to bet on it but if I was just watching without a bet I would kill myself.

It's just a boring game. I'm tired of all the groundouts and fly outs. It kills any momentum. How many times do you see a man on first and second with no outs. Then one guy strikes out. The next guy comes up and grounds out into a double play. It kills any excitement right away.

Baseball needs to change with the times somehow. This ain't the early 1900's anymore. This is why despite what people say the steroid era was the most exciting time in baseball. Offense = ratings.

They need to make some kind of change though. Maybe give the pitcher a time limit. Get rid of the fucking shortstop to add some excitement in there but they need to change something.

Games are too long...make 'em 7 innings or speed these fuckers up .

Too many games...take another day off per week and get rid of some games.

When batters assume it's a ball four and immediately make the motion to start their way to first to only have the ump call strike.

162 games.... The whole season is played in mostly nice warm weather, during playoffs on the other hand it's freezing. Shorten the season 40 games or so.

Baseball should be over by September. They really need to shorten it. How much would they lose if they cut back 40 games?

Interleague baseball is way past its prime.

Baseball also prided itself in the fact that the American League and the National League were 2 separate leagues that met up at the end of the season to see which league was best.

Thats why each league has a pennant.

This has always been the justification for one league having the DH and the other league not having the DH.

Interleague does not have a place in MLB if both leagues do not adhere to the DH or non DH rule.

It use to be where you only had 2 times during the season where everyone played interleague baseball at the same time.

Now you have interleague games practically every day.

Its no different then Football and basketball now.

Bud Selig is a mess.

Thats strange.
The average NFL game is 17 mins longer then the average MLB game.

Is football games too long also?

Baseball is so married to statistics that they are handcuffed from making any major changes.

Anything you just mentioned would skew historical statistics.
And if you do that you basically kill baseball.

You cant shorten the season because it would mess up all the career stats for all the current players vs the past players.
Only minor adjustment you could make for season length would be to go back to 154 games.

This would put everything back to the way it was pre 1962 and would justify the move by saying the measuring stick would be the same as it was pre 62.

But would a 154 game season make a huge difference?

Cant remove the short stop.
That would be insane.

Jeter would have broke Pete Rose hit record under those conditions and someone would hit .400 every year.

Baseball is basically stuck from making any radical changes due to being married to historical statistics.

Football and basketball do not have this problem.
