I'm going GSW tonight and not touching totals... even if Dame were 100%, they still have not solved the trap issue - there is no 3rd scorer and Evan Turner is not the same pivot distributor as Draymond Green is. Close to 60% of NBA teams up 3-0 close it out ATS in game 4 - for the warriors, that number is higher. In the Steve Kerr-era dubs have been up 3-0 eight times prior to this series and closed it out - all on the road, five of those eight times. But let's take a closer look at those three instances that they did not:
2015 Rockets (WCF) - houston explodes for 45 1q points, winning in a rout, shooting 53% from 3pt range and dubs mail it in during 1st title run, end up winning in 5
2017 Cavs (Finals) - Cavs set NBA playoff record with 24 3pt-ers, including 49 1q points, only delaying the inevitable gentlemen's sweep
2018 Spurs (round 1) - Spurs shoot 53% from 3pt range and use veteran guile to win by 13
The common theme - 3pt% is what the Blazers need - but from who? A rib-injured, depleted Dame? Considering body language and the fact that even when they were up big in two straight games, they know in the back of their minds that they would only be delaying the inevitable to a superior team - particularly on the defensive side. Dubs have plenty of reason to be motivated to close it out tonight - need rest for the big three and Iggy.
Dubs -3 and Dubs 2H if they are down at halftime (again)
