Percy was a wanted man - on draft day.
I am excited to see the Minnesota offense with Harvin; people won't be able to load the box and move with speed to AP, as the reverse / and fake reverse stuff will freeze people up a bit, AP could have a career year rushing with the Harvin acquisition.

I can see it now: send Harvin in motion,
T Jax could fake/give a reverse Harvin then run a fake/real bootleg to the opposite side; the two outside backers will have to respect each threat and then you have AP to give the ball too as well, if AP gets even an extra 0.1 second hesistation he will make you pay

Then you add the freakishly huge Loadholt into the OL; should be interesting

I am surprised the Bengals didn't draft him, seems like a perfect locker room for him!

The play you describe has a weakness right from the start: It begins with Tarvaris Jackson. As long as he's taking snaps for the Vikings they'll never be better than mediocre. He's a quarterback with the potential to give away a game with every snap.

yeah rosenfels was a steal for a fourth round pick; he will probably start over tjax;
still i bet harvin is looping around the qb minimum 10 plays a game

Rosenfels reminds me a little of Steve Beuerlein: one of those guys who is great to have as a backup because they're sharp, calm and are perfectly serviceable as a short-term QB for a team. I question how well he'd do as a full-time starter, though. There's a reason he's spent his whole career since 2001 backing up some pretty mediocre starters.

Still, he's better than Jackson. It wouldn't surprise me at all if you're right and he beats him out for the job.

What's the Over/Under on how long it is until Harvin gets his first suspension for pot? (Also known as "Earning the Ricky Williams Memorial Award.")

Should be interesting to see how well the offense can do with another threat at WR. Berrian opened things up a bit for them last year but we'll see how the QB position shakes out.

QB position is still a joke IMO.

Not sure as to why the Vikings haven't given John David Booty a shot. What do they have to lose.

I'm a Bears fan, so I'm really glad the Vikings can't seem to get their sh*t together. If they ever did get a decent QB, they would be really scary. I'm convinced that Rosenfels can get them much deeper in the playoffs than Jackson.

vick will be a great second qb for a team that wants to run wildcat; pat white and the dolphins are going to be fun to watch

the viks really gave t jax a chance against philly in playoffs with a pretty aggressive game plan - aggressive in that it relied heavily on t jax to make plays since philly was run blitzing often and t jax had to throw more - he just couldn't make plays
t jax has at times many chances to scramble and force teams to spy him yet he doesn't use his legs to move chains as often as he should

Harvin didn't show up for the Vikings 3 day mini camp that started today.

And the good news is allready starting for the newest member of the NFL's substance abuse prgram.

Harvin Hospitalized With “Extreme Dehydration”
Posted by Mike Florio on May 1, 2009, 4:31 p.m. EDT
Sean Jensen of the St. Paul Pioneer Press advises that, according to Vikings coach Brad Childress, rookie receiver Percy Harvin isn’t present at the team’s weekend minicamp because Harvin has been hospitalized in Atlanta with “extreme dehydration.”

Childress made the revelation at a post-practice press conference.

The team’s decision to select Harvin with the 22nd overall pick in the 2009 draft sparked controversy, given his positive marijuana result at the Scouting Combine and a reputation for being a bit of a handful.

Doesn't weed give you cotton mouth? That makes since then. Hey Percy, drink regular water not the bong water my friend.
