If Harvin lives up to his potential & is as explosive as he has been in the past, he & Adrian Peterson could spell big trouble for other teams.

I couldn't disagree with you more. Until Minnesota actually gets a QB who is a threat then the two could be big trouble. But until then you can still stack the box and stop AP. If you stop AP you stop Minnesota. Harvin was dominate because of all the weapons that Florida had in place. He was so fast but yet defenses could not key in on him in Florida. Now that hes in the NFL where the defenses are so much faster then in college and hes not on a team that will be a 3 touchdown favorite every week he will not be as productive IMO.

Minnesota has some very good WR weapons, but with their QB's (Rosenfels, Frerotte, Jackson, and Booty) im not expecting any of the wide receivers to put up huge numbers.

Not saying it's a given, just that it's a possibility if Harvin remains as explosive as he's been & is on the field the same time as Peterson.

Can't imagine if they would have signed Vick & had all 3 in the backfield at once........

Thats the thing.... he wont be as explosive because now he is in the NFL. You are used to seeing him blow by college defenses that are nowhere near as fast as NFL defenses.

Exactly right. Everyone thought that about Reggie Bush.

Also, I have strong feeling that Harvin will struggle to stay healthy.

Yes you are right. Defenses could not key on Bush when he was in place at USC because of all the surrounding weapons. Bush used to beat down teams simply because he was just faster then them. That shit don't fly in the NFL.

I couldn't agree more. Percy might break a play or two that makes a Sunday night highlight real, but he is not going to see the types of holes in defenses that he saw in college. His biggest contributions will most likely take place in the return game. Forget about him being an every down player, he will not be able to hold up to the punishment. Too brittle.

I mean who is the best running QB in the last 10 years?
McChoke is 1-5 in NFC championship games
0-1 in the super bowl
The only time he won the NFCC game was when Vick was the QB for the opposing team
lol

running QBs are big time LOSERS in big games

POCKET PASSERS WIN CHAMPIONSHIPS!!!!

Nobody is arguing with you.

Are you trying to convince yourself or trying to convince everyone on this board that you can hold an argument with yourself.

i was waiting for someone to mention his name... mcchoke i would not even consider a running quarterback. he can run if he has to he does not look to run first there is a big difference. if that was the case you could call steve young a running quarterback because he could run better than most in his day.

First Thing NO The Vikes Will NEVER Take

advantage of ANY offensive edge they might have, even w/a 1st line NFL QB!! Why? Childbirth does not have the smarts, imagination, experience, to utilize a Hi Power offense the way it should be used.^^:)

2nd part a "running QB" is usually black. And it's not the physical tools, Tarvaris HAS those, its the lack of intelligence and the ability to extemporize when there is defensive "heat"!! Not racist, reality.:ohno:

This very good collection of players the Vikes have accumulated are destined to fail and the "window" close w/o ever sniffing a campionship, because of awful coaching. I'm so pissed @ Ziggy Whatnot for having hired this fool, I can't stand to watch them go down in flames. 1st gm Browns 17, Mn 10.

I would love to see Vick in the backfield with Peterson and Harvin. It would be different for the NFL and I know it would be exciting.
