quote:
The girl, who is 5 feet 1 inch tall and 134 pounds, threatened to hit the deputy and rolled her hand into a fist.

She also cursed and then walked away, ignoring four more orders to stop and put her hands behind her back, according to the deputy's report. The deputy repeatedly warned her he would use pepper spray if she didn't listen.

He definitely over reacted but....read it carefully, she is not an angel

Right, I understand that the girl had an attitude with the cop. Did you guys catch the part that she is a twelve-year-old girl, five feet one inches tall and 134 pounds?

She's a slightly chunky, prepubescent American girl with a minor attitude problem. Guess we should save paperwork and send her to the chair now. Of course, we'll need a concentration camp the size of Oklahoma to house the rest of that particular breed of terrorist, the hormonally-rampaging drama queen.

And this an .. twenty-two years on the force and he can't get a point across to a twelve-year-old? I take it as a given he's not on the hostage negotiating team for Broward County.

I'm serious, if this was my kid my own life would be over; they'd fry me twice for what I would do that piece of shit. I'd film it and send it to Fox, who would no doubt air it, and maybe it would do some good in helping police and other authority figures learn some basic boundaries to their behaviour, because you never know who's got a father with a nail gun and serious issues with authority.

fat little fudgie...

phaedrus...i agree, the post was a joke. i wouldn't advocate her arrest. and your point about the 22 years of experience being all for naught if said pig cannot control the situation...

O.K. good and bad bad points to him pepper spraying the girl. Good point: He avoided any real heavy physical force that could have broken the girls arm,leg etc or given her a bruised/cut face which would have been splashed all over T.V. then the cop would have been out of a career and pension. The pepper spray is only temporary pain that blinds the suspect and allows law enforcement to take control of someone more easily than fist fighting them. You might say not a fair fight, but if your a cop you don't want a fair fight you want to win as fast as possible. Bad point: Yes she is 12 and still relatively small, but the point is that if he had tried to physically restrain her too much people would have cried about that too and she could have been injured much worse. Not sure why ticketing middle school students for jaywalking is the duty of a 22 year vet, but maybe some kid got hit by a car recently and they stuck him out their on sh*t duty. I have seen some small drunk women be hard to control/fight because as a guy you don't want to hurt them. The pepper spray neutralizes their aggressiveness and makes things much easier...but having said all that it does still kinda "look" bad.

it`s just a little to hard nowadays for parents to discipline their kids...i was crazy and a troublemaker as a kid for a very short time... a nice mixture of some serious physical punishment(i got some serious beatings....which i richly desreved)and enrollment in the p.a.l.(police athletic league)boxing program really changed my life...i became an excellent student and gained much needed self confidence....

i know people scoff at these programs but they work....that little girl obviously isn`t getting the needed discipline at home...

rfc....that "pig" remark kinda helps me understand where you are coming from on some issues....i would surmise that you are basically an anti-establishment,anti-authority guy....maybe an ex-hippie type that would believe in bringing down any entity that has a modicum of control or influence over anything...?????....come to think of it,maybe that`s the reason behind all the anti-americanism i see on the rx....maybe if you delve deeper, not specifically anti-americanism at all...maybe it`s just an anti-authority/little man complex issue ........maybe if france or germany carried the big stick, their ox would be getting gored here...

maybe i`m wrong.....whatever...i still enjoy hearing your opinions on issues...however skewed they may be

The girl broke the law, the cop didn't handle the situation correctl. Pepper spraying and wrestling a 12 year girl to the ground is more than motive for dismissal, IMO. The girl's attitude is aside from that. Cops are a necessary evil in a free society, that doesn't mean you have to blindly respect them. In my personal experience more often than not cops are personalities, that due to whatever inferiority complexes from early life, enjoy having authority over those that would be peers had they chosen a different line of work. That's not really anything to respect.

sphincter,

The term pig comes from a novel called Animal Farm, Radio is correct that it is no worse than cop.

Yeah kayaman,
The reason all those New York City cops risked their lives (some paying with them) and ran into the twin towers to help get citizens out was because in their heart they just wanted to "exercise authority over people...and they really have no genuine concern or care for helping people...the state trooper who gets burned from pulling a victim out of a burning car...he is just doing it because he enjoys the "authority" of it and is nothing of a human being who ever could have done anything else in life and is just dealing with his inferiority complex...just like all the police and detectives and FBI agents who catch murders, child molesters, rapists, robbers, burglars terrorists etc...and who are on the other end of the 911 phone line when someone is breaking into your house to do harm to you, your wife and kids...and they don't know you but they respond as fast as possible to your house just to show you their "personality". Oh...I almost forgot... and they are paid so well and enjoy respect from people they protect and serve like you kaya man. You are so wise kaya man.

kaya....the police are a necessary evil?......are you kidding..obviously you`ve never had some young shithead try and carjack your vehicle at gunpoint..that statement is unbelievably moronic coming from a guy that i thought had something on the ball....

a question....are you a college kid,kaya?.....or a criminal....all this anti-authority crap is so silly...

the only times i`ve had trouble with cops was when i did the wrong thing..much like our 12 year old heroine...and early in my life i had my share of the police......i think we have a bunch of anarchists running around on this board...who are more than likely passing this ridiculous anti-establishment b.s. on to their kids(as i said, unless they are kids themselves)...

as some of these radicals get a little older,i think pure life experience will change their stance a bit....

take a look around....we do not live in utopia or shangri-la....

just curious....based on this type of attitude toward the police,i`d like to hear some of the horror stories you guys have to tell regarding how you were wrongfully persecuted by the "pigs"...

I think most cops do a very difficult job extremely well,But there is a certain percentage with the power trip thing happening. However they seem to be a small percentage.I remember being thrown up against a building and being patted down only because I had long hair and a ratty army jacket on.For the most part I always found cops to be helpful.I always thought NYC cops were the best. They actually have a sense of humour.

Judge,

Where'd you have your stash hid that he didn't find it?

As far as the little fat girl goes, her parents should have their ass kicked for raising a disrespectful lard ass little bitch. If she's threatening a cop at 12 they might as well go ahead and lock her up now because she's gonna end up in the joint sooner or later.
