Pennsylvania lawmaker moves to end federal prohibition on sports betting

CREATED: 16 DECEMBER 2015

A Pennsylvania Representative has introduced a new bill that urges the US Congress to end the federal prohibition on sports betting and allow states that have already regulated casino gambling to legalise betting through licensed facilities.

<section class="article-content" itemprop="articleBody" style="box-sizing: border-box; font-size: 16px; color: rgb(51, 51, 51); font-family: Roboto, 'Helvetica Neue', Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif;">The proposal comes just days after Representative John Payne confirmed that his bill to legalise online gambling in the state, HB649, will not go before a full House of Representatives vote before the end of this year.

It's later now! So......

Now is the time!

During the 2015-16 legislative session, Payne was appointed as chairman of the House Gaming Oversight Committee, which oversees slot machine gaming, bingo, small games of chance, amusement laws and table games in Pennsylvania.

Nice resume! Hoping for the best and if you can please sign and get involved <><>

Wouldn't it be great to one day be able to log onto your computer, visit 10 different online sportsbooks run by casinos in your state, all moving lines based on their own action -- rather than logging onto EVERY per head book out there that all copy their numbers from CRIS and 5D?

Yes it is great, and I hope it's available in every state soon. Though most books still hang the same lines on most of the popular stuff, you can still get many different lines on MLB and NHL though.

Or better yet, be able to place your wager right down the road from anywhere, just like in England.

No reason we shouldn't be allowed to do the same here if this is truly a free country...

I'm not big into politics or the economy and how we spend it...I just know that we are in serious debt but...

Wouldn't Billions of dollars annually fix SOME of the money problems we have?
