That's crap - who ever thought PSU wouldn't score a single point in the second half? Only needed a FG to cover. Some things you can't cap.

That's why I hardly ever bet these large spread games. Anything can happen in the 2nd half when the game is out of reach. Too hard to predict

I learned a long time ago not to expect Joe Pa to run up scores on weaker opponents. He's a good sport unlike most coaches in other conferences. If people would do a little home work they would know this.

Even though it was out of reach, you can't tell me you expected Penn State to put 0 points up against Akron in a half?

Obviously at halftime I would choose PSU to cover, but again, that's why I don't bet large spread games. It's just too hard to predict how much effort a team is going to give when they are up 30 or whether or not they are going to let the reserves play it out.

I hear what you are saying. I am not sure it was an effort issue. Perhaps PSU just is not as good as expected this year. RB looked really slow and QB did not look very sharp.

Paterno is more connected to organized crime than any other coach. He has a long history of inexplicable results. He's not coaching into his 80's because of his love for the game.

Can you give me some specifics on his connections to organized crime? Any documented cases? Thanks.

Daryl Clark played well into the 4th quarter. If someone told me that you could be up 31-0 in every game at half giving up 27 then I would take the deal over and over. Why? Even the backups are as good as if not better than the other team's starters and that doesn't even include weak-minded teams that quit when being beat down. I would compliment the Akron defense, but I can't. Not a team that gives up 31 in a half. This so-called high powered Akron offense only scored 7 points and that was after a momentum-switching turnover around midfield. We got hosed. Joe Pa had two 4th downs around Akron's 30 in the 2nd half and he punted? and he missed a FG? . Unbelievable.

I don't know if it can be called poor capping or just a bad second half.

No, I did not have USC, but they did cover 1st half. Follow the trend, you will make money.
