Pedro's pitched in the NL...has Clemens. Clemens started all this shit by throwing at Millar's head earlier this year then saying..."guys just don't get out of the way like they used to." Karim Garcia (are you kidding me) started this shit. If he'd have kept his trap shut and/or not taken out Walker's knees, this wouldn't have happened. Manny should have wrapped that bat around Roger's head.
What's he supposed to do? Go out there and hit Clemens in the face and get kicked out of the series. You're right, he should have mumbled some stuff and then taken out someone's knees like Garcia. Listen, I admit, Pedro should not have thrown at Garcia's head (a foul ball by the way), but what to they expect when they've got Mr. Headhunter himself on their team. He threw a ball AND A BAT a Piazza for crying out loud.
Zimmer is a smart guy, He was hoping Pedro would throw a punch at him so they could get Pedro Kick out of the game. So much for the vaunted Clemens/Pedro matchup -- they are both on the downside in their career. Go to the NL to see real pitching. Cubs (or Marlins) will beat either of these teams.

Manny Ramirez totally overeacted to what was really just a high fastball. I can't stand Clemens but there was no reason for Ramirez to react like he did.
As far as Zimmer goes, when you go at somebody like that and take a swing at them you have to expect Martinez to defend himself in that spot. That's exactly what he did. There will be no fine, suspension or reprimand for Pedro Martinez.
