5 passing attempts, no targets for Gronk -- they aren't trying to win. 26 plays, 21 rushes. I think they are just trying to run out the clock and not add injuries. 2nd half line will be interesting.

Thanks for the post. Makes sense to me.

Do they still get home-field advantage if they lose and Cincy wins?

why would they not want to clinch home-field? The play by play has me convinced of that too. Miami was in ruins entering today

Shortbus -- I figured they would be more aggressive, but I guess they think health is more important -- that said, the 2nd half like is NE -7. Basically it is a bet that NE wins SU. That is tempting.

I just edited my post to include home field considerations. What is the tying criteria if they both have the same record?

If Pats lose and Denver win, Denver is #1 seed. Any other scenario and the Pats get HFA

One point you have not considered New England has now lost 4 of their 6 games

Hey guys, the Pats may have been avoiding playing Pittsburgh in the first round by deliberately losing this game. But wait, it gets even better.

I thought of this thread when Arizona went down 30-6 in the first half. I figured they were doing the same thing New England did so I took Seattle +3 large for the 2nd half knowing that the Cards were taking it easy. Second half result: Seattle 6, AZ 0.

So you think the Patriots lost this game on purpose and gave up home field throughout, what about losing the last 4 of 6 games. Their chances have been deminished by losing home field.
