Patriots only team favored in every game next season

The good vibes keep coming for the New England Patriots, the only NFL team favored in every game in the lines released by sportsbook operator CG Technology on Tuesday.

Lines for every game next season, except for Week 17, came out. And with a Week 17 home game against the New York Jets, it's likely New England will be favored once that line comes out as well.

The Patriots have been on quite a run. They are coming off another Super Bowl win in February, got an "A" from Mel Kiper for their 2017 draft and are the overwhelming Super Bowl favorites in Las Vegas (3-1 at the Westgate Las Vegas SuperBook).

So, what else can go right?

The Patriots are favored by an average of 6.5 points per game next season, with the largest spread 12.5 points at home against the Los Angeles Chargers. New England is only a 1.5-point favorite in Week 11 against the Oakland Raiders in Mexico City and Week 15 at the Pittsburgh Steelers.

On the other end of the NFL hierarchy, the Cleveland Browns aren't favored in any game and are only a pick-em once (Week 5 at home versus the Jets). Cleveland is an underdog of 6 points per game on average, and a touchdown-or-worse underdog in nine of 15 games.

The Browns are tied for the worst odds to win Super Bowl LII at 300-1 at Westgate and are 150-1 to win the AFC.

the Chargers +12.5 might be a good play. I think the Chargers might be pretty good next year, and if so, the line will be < 12.5

Ditto if they can stay healthy. Got a lot of good players. Playing in a small college stadium in a city where no one really cares about them might be a problem though.

But they got a lot of talent.

Southpoint opened at 11 over (-20).
Bad number.
No other wins total moved more than a 1/2 game.

I saw 11.5, I would never bet anything more than that

Taking any bet where a team has to go 13-3 for you to win is a bad bet

12-4 is my max

Problem is Chargers haven't been able to stay healthy for several seasons.

Let's just say Blount returns to NE...who gets removed from roster? No way they keep 6 rbs and a fb. Would Lewis or Bolden possibly be the odd man out?

My guess is Blount signs with another team before that July deadline and Pats get a late round compensatory pick in 18.

bolden might be out.. I know he's a good special teams guy but burkhead is too and could fill role.

Chiefs usually play the Pats tough, but I don't think I could take them here even getting 7.5

Boston sports radio pushing all the panic buttons and calling free agents busts

that's good news for the Pats, those fucks get everything wrong :)

Most recent examples?

The Red Sox suck and won't make the playoffs this year, not nearly as good as last year, this summer's theme when the Sox were slumping

The C's series vs the Bulls is already over, they can't come back, they're over-matched, Brad Stevens can't win in the post season. C's down 2-0 to Chicago in round 1

The Patriots just threw away their chance to win the SuperBowl. When Belichick traded their best defensive player to Cleveland in 2016.

Much like the national media, they're just not very good at predicting future events
