People can say whatever they want about the Patriots. As a handicapper you are just ignoring data if you try make the case for any other team. I'm from Houston and a Texans fan here, but the Patriots still win me the most money (virtually all my big bets are on them). The best piece of advice I ever received was back in 2007 when my friend told me that if I was ever confused about betting the NFL to just stick with betting the pats against the spread. If I would have took that advice I would have been hitting 70% from 2007+ and 60% from 2005+. As a handicapper, even if you hate the patriots as a team you love them as an investment. So even in a case like last Thursday - cool the dolphins upset them. In the long run you are still covering at a much higher clip than any other team in the NFL. There isn't a good system you can show me that involves betting against the patriots at the spread.

Here are a few graphs of how you would be doing if you followed his advice since before 2004. Straight upswing.

ROI's for each team since ~2004 if you're curious. Packers are still not a great team to bet against in general.

I have suspicions RE Brady. It was reported earlier last week he was dinged, achilles... but downplayed by everyone, the media, the announcers, this board.

He threw way, way TOO MANY BAD passes for me to accept, not nearly consistent with his usual standards. And he seemed to OFTEN panic uncharacteristically and throw the ball away rather than take a hit.

Does anyone think Brady has a bit of an injury that affects his throws?
