The history of Earth can be somewhat arbitrarily divided into four ages:

Ancient History -- from the Dawn of Man until roughly 600 B.C.E.

Early History -- 600 B.C.E. to roughly 900 A.D.

Recent History -- 900 A.D. to 1950 A.D.

Current History -- 1950 A. D. to the present

In all four histories, there is an officially sanctioned history, the story of events which are accepted by the establishment and/or the mainstream historians. None of these histories are complete, and in fact are so woefully inadequate that they surely constitute fraud and misrepresentation in being presented as if this version is the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth. Not only was history written by the victors in any given conflict or event, but it was then revised by whoever took over from the victors, and by whatever means they came into power. Mainstream history is, therefore, a double edged sword to be wielded at will in order to justify and legitimize the rule of a select group over others.

Mainstream history is not all lies. A fundamental rule followed by organizations such as the National Enquirer is that one always begins with some acceptable truth, and thereafter speculates about what might have stemmed from the truth. The kernel of truth contained therein is what provides the appearance of legitimacy, and those people who lack the basis of Discrimination, often blithely accept the illogical and irrational arguments and stories which stem from this truth, but which themselves are no more than creative fiction.

Oh I get ya...Joseph Stalin, Adolph Hitler, piss stained sheet wearing flintstone fxcks with smoke coming out of their turbans is just a kernal of truth and a basic back fitted misrepresentation???
No, the ones who write the history books are the ones likey enough to avoid these fxcks and done something about it...Which legitimises your point of "history written by the victors" which is a good thing, since I might not be able to sit here getting fat and old with my biggest worry being wether getting 5 points on a basketball game is enough.
I do know that with the likes of Neville Chamberlin,Joseph P. Kennedy and Howard Deane this might not be the case.
I like my authors of history. I might not be around to read the history of your authors...come to think of it, you might not be either.

Yes I have...I guess if I had to date girls with mustaches better than mine and circumsized clitoris...I'd be jealous of the west too.
Regardless I've what I think the bottom line is that they are the ones in dyer need of change, and a more truthful look at their history.
Its not what the west has done to them its what they have done to themselves by their own leadership, and perverted hateful religion...I don't have to understand hate.

They hate the west because they want to keep the common people stupid...You don't see a hell of a lot of them going back once they get out,why do you think the Iranian students are raising hell over there...don't feed me that shit, that we have it all and there is not enough to go around...try a little western technology...like fxckin water to grow things...it funny the Israli goverment encourages thier people to grow oranges the size of basketballs...do any of those other countries do the same for their people...not on your life...then there is no bogey men....so fxckin please, spare me the bullshit.
By the way they wouldn't even have the oil if it wasn't for western technology..the most that fuxckin shit hole hateful area of the world has come up with in the last 700 years is the sucide belt.

Borat,

Excellent analysis, I whole-heartedly agree. Did you make these observations yourself? If so, I have to ask you -- are you married? If not, do you like much younger women? I have a 10 year-old daughter who I could offer up for potential marriage when she turns 16. Of course no hanky panky before marriage or I will report you to the Kazakhstani authorities for that donkey business.

If we could send the neighboring countries subsidies they too could gro oranges the size of basketballs. Do you have any idea how much money has been granted to Israel since WW2? I am not saying it is wrong but the amount is staggering. We need a buffer against "radicals" and the more attacks that take place the more deserving Israel is of our tax money. When you get your chain mails about the oranges the size of basketballs and how Israel reppelled all those enemys during 1967 stop and think first, beleive me it wasn't all alone. Do you think we would let them get invaded by their neighbors? This brings me back to the reason for the invasion of Iraq, the safety of Israel. I am all for defending someone we set up. I just think we shouldnt abandon everyone else. Like several years ago when Armenians were trying to get congress to pass a resolution recognizing the Armenian genocide but they voted against it because it would piss off Turkey and "trivialized" what happened in the nazi death camps early this century.

Hey Borat! You didn't answer my question. I was serious (except the part about the donkey). Get back to you in 4-5 years, right?

Sharon over the past two years has been facing charges of financial corruption, beginning in December 2002, when the Israeli fraud police started investigating allegations that members of Likdu’s central committee demanded money for votes in a primary ballot to select members for parliament before the January 2003 general election.

The Israeli government is the largest recipient of US financial aid in the world, receiving over one-third of total US aid to foreign countries4, even though Israel’s population comprises just .001% of the world’s population and has one the world’s higher per capita incomes.

In January 2003, Sharon and his two sons Gilad and Omri were allegedly funding irregularities in Sharon’s 1999 campaign for leadership of the right-wing Likud party. They were suspected of taking $1.5 loan from a South African businessman as collateral to repay alleged illicit contributions to Sharon’s campaign. Foreign funding of political campaigns is illegal in Israel.

A part of his recent scandals were the ‘property developer’ and the ‘prisoners swap’ that added to Sharon’s record of scandals and further weakened his position in the Israeli cabinet.

David Appel, a prominent property developer and Likud stalwart, tried to bribe Sharon when he was foreign minister and Ehud Olmert, the then mayor of Jerusalem, with $2.6 million in late 1990s.

He was accused by the prosecutors of hiring Gilad Sharon as a consultant for the purchase of a Greek resort island and paid him large sums to persuade his father, to help him to promote the deal as well as facilitate winning a bid on government-controlled land in central Israel.

Hamas is all but beaten, Sharon told
Taipei Times - THE GUARDIAN , Jerusalem ^ | Sunday, Mar 28, 2004,Page 7 | THE GUARDIAN , Jerusalem

Israel's intelligence and military chiefs have told Ariel Sharon that Hamas is on the retreat in the wake of the assassination of its founder and spiritual leader, Sheikh Ahmed Yassin. They have said that the organization no longer poses a major obstacle to the prime minister's plans to carve out a Palestinian state on his terms.

Intelligence officials have concluded that Hamas's failure to carry out its threat of bloody vengeance, nearly a week after the sheikh's assassination by a guided missile as he was wheeled from morning prayers, is evidence of its greatly reduced military capacity. They still expect an attack to come, but say Hamas is clearly having great difficulty launching it.

The thinking behind Israel's strategy, which drew international condemnation, has become clearer. Sheikh Yassin could have been killed at any time in the past three years, and the timing suggests motives beyond the prime minister's claim to have removed an arch- terrorist.

Israeli political analysts believe that the removal of such a towering figure, who was second only to Yasser Arafat in standing among Palestinians, diminishes Hamas as a political force and the prospects of it taking control of Gaza if Sharon follows through on his pledge to withdraw Jewish settlers.

The decision to kill the Hamas leader appears to have been prompted by a number of considerations. With Hamas claiming that the Israelis are retreating from Gaza in defeat, Sharon was determined that the pullout should not be seen as weakness under fire. He was also keen to placate the rightwing of his government, which is strongly opposed to removing the settlers from the Gaza Strip, by offering it Sheikh Yassin's head.

Borat,

To see the truth in your original post, all you have to do is compare notes with someone who grew up in another country about what you each learned in history class. Everyone learns that their own country was allied with the good side. The other side was of course evil. These are taught as objective truths. It's quite amusing really.

For example, I talked to an Italian guy a couple of months ago and he told me about the hundreds of Italians that the Hungarians killed in some battle in the 1500's, at least that's how they learned it in history class. None of my Hungarian friends remember ever being taught such a thing. Interesting, isn't it?
