RIP to the best coach ever regardless of gender or sport period. While a select few might have more championships compared to her 8, she without question had the biggest influence in her sport compared to any other coach out there.
She put women's basketball on the map & helped lead the rise of other powerhouses in the game as without her, there are no Geno's & UConn, Tara & Stanford, Kim Mulkey at Baylor, etc..
Her influence & sheer determination to put women's hoops on the map which she successfully did actually overshadows her coaching accomplishments of 8 championships & 38 seasons as a coach without a losing record which is absolutely unheard of & can't possibly be done again by anyone.
