Thanks guys. Well how I bet them is a difficult question to answer. I play w/p and dd daily. I look at what the payoffs will be for the dds and bet combos that will get me approximately 50% return on investment[I'm flexible on this]. The same goes for any ex bet. As for p3s & 4s I generally don't play them if mdns races are involved. Most days I just go with the flow and how the track is playing. Hope that helps.

GT & LS when I joined the Sartin group back in 90 Doc Sartin recommended boxing the top 3 for the ex and the top 4 for the tri. That's about the closest I can come to a guideline to using my picks. You can also key horses that you want to use. I prefer dds the most since I only need 1 horse to win a race rather then needing 2 or more to come thru. The more things you need to have happen the more the chance of losing increases.
