Parents don't do their jobs anymore

I am an observer. I like to sit in crowds and watch people and their actions.

I am pretty much disgusted by kids and teenagers these days. It seems as if I see more and more kids that act disrepectful towards themselves and others.

Foul mouthed. Say and do anything thug punks.

They dress like hoods and think they know every damn thing. I'm not saying that I didn't think I lnew everything as a teen, but I did show respect to my elders. These little punk asses want to fight if you look at them wrong.

What the f are parents doing to cause their kids to act like this? I realize a lot of kids are from 1 parent households but shit...do parents not discipline anymore?

Go to the mall and parents act as bad as kids...loud talking and trying to show out...

No morals and nothing is shocking anymore...this society has gone to shit

Tv and music both are nothing but trash anymore and our kids just soak it up

I agree Whale, but even good parents lose control of kids nowadays.

You can protect them & preach to them but sooner or later they are exposed to school, etc. and then much of the control is lost by mom & dad.....

I have often heard councilors and therapists say these are different times than when we grew up.

The thing parents forget is they have to be the strongest positive influence on their children. Providing food, shelter and education isn't enough.

Parents need to teach their children how to be good citizens, fathers need to teach their sons how to be men.

Right now, there are millions of men who never had that father son talk we were all supposed to get when we were growing up.

"good parents" that lose control of their kids, lose it because they weren't the strongest influence.
