I *love* the RX. I really do. Knowledgeable posters, interesting topics, highly informative information, and most importantly, moderators who work tirelessly on behalf of stiffed players.

My question is...what do you (moderators) get out of it? Is it sheer altruism that drives you to contact shady sportsbooks and intervene on behalf of irate customers? What do you get for all of your time and aggravation? What the hell compelled y'all to be so ... so ... nice?!

Pardon my sycophancy, but I really stand in awe of you people and the work you do. Considering how cutthroat this industry is, how full of scammers, cheats, liars and people who have decided to make a living preying on other people's impulses and addictions is...it is absolutely amazing that there are people like Shrink, McIrish and the General who seem to go about their work in this industry for nothing other than gratitude from anonymous cyber-posters.

To all of you, from all of us, a big THANK YOU.

dogs24- Thanks from all of us at Team RX. Quite frankly however, I personally am at the bottom of the totempole of this great team and deserve very little kudos compared to the other team members. Having just come aboard in the last month, I have seen firsthand the hours of dedication and honesty this team puts forth.....to better the offshore business as a whole and be here in many different capacities for the players.

You made a very nice post. I was raised to treat people with respect and to assist when help was needed. It is self satisfying to me when i can help another.

I have always been a "what can i do for you?" type of guy. Most people are "what have you done for me lately?"

General, & Dante are robots that I built. The mods have been downsized and replaced by technology. I recieve .5 cents per post in compensation, plus unlimited bandwidth

General was the first edition, and required little AI, simple an automated - "Have a nice day!" response.

Dante was the next edition. It had simple AI, but it was relavitely simple, we had only to build a "Thanks for posting at the RX. GL" message and a "Jenny, Angelle & Rachel are hotties" message. We created a few synonyms to throw the posters off of our trail, so don't panic if you see "We appreciate your posting ... " or "Angelle, Jenny, & Rachel are babes .. ", etc ...

I tried making a Patrick Robot, but I kept getting a VM out of memory error. Appantely the buffer couldn't support anything over 86.3 pages per post

Ha ha...thank you Dante...although I have no 'insight' into the industry, other than 5 and a half years of online wagering experience..

Like most, I'm more inclined to post when I have a problem than anything else. Otherwise, I just read, glean and learn.

Unfortunately, when I have posted about problems, although the mods have been very considerate and helpful, some posters have not. Anyone who posts about any problem with a book seems to be met initially with a helluva lot of skepticism and chastising from certain users, which is unfortunate. Given the tenuous legal ground that offshore sportsbooks sit on, and the very fact that their chosen means of making a living is taking advantage of their fellow man's weaknesses, I for one am immediately inclined to believe guilty until proven innocent when it comes to accusations against sportsbooks.

That sentiment is not universally shared here, which is alright, I suppose..but it makes me wary of posting too many gripes for fear of being flamed.

You are not alone, BUT if you ignore the flamers; I mean do not even acknowledge them, they will stop. Either the moderators will stop them or they will just stop for lack of attention. That is all flamers are looking for, A little attention.

When ignored they go away.

Also, some posters find it hard to understand newbies. We were all newbies at one point and should always remember where we came from.

The moderators seem to be the best since the inception of the RX. One thing to remember, to be a moderator, one must first be...Moderate. There have been one or two in the past who were too opinionated, and testy for my liking. The crew now, seems to really be on the ball.
