Anyway, back to the topic of this thread. Papa John is notoriously conservative, he's just using his company's shitty sales as a platform to make a political statement of his own.

Highly doubt he is selling significantly less pizza because of anthem protests.

if the sponsors are speaking out now on this , great. don't see the downside here.. hope all sponsors start saying we don't need this.

I've never in my life ordered Papa Johns at home. The few times I've had a slice is at someone else's house and never though much of the product.

Dominoes, thats what my kids like, so we get those. $8 for deep dish pan for kids, thin and crispy for me and the wife, dinner for under $20

Not sure what the papa johns in Texas charge but at my local store an extra large with the works is $19. it would be one thing if their mediocre pizza was $8 but to charge $19 is insanity for that product. Thats my point. Atleast dominos and little caesars pizzas are cheap. Frankly i'd take a $5 pep pizza from little caesars over a papa johns pizza any day.

Franchise pizza joints are ehh.. but Domino's pan cheese is good. I like their pan pizza. I'm all for any pizza place besides Pizza Hut. Papa Johns is decent at best imo.

I used to feel sorry for the owner in the commercials as I thought he was a burn victim survivor, but my buddies told me it was bad plastic surgery!! Owner is a Trump mouthpiece who is making lower sales claims in order get be embasadorship to Italy.

A company says that they are unhappy with their advertising with the NFL and everyone rips the advertiser? I personally would never eat their pizza but don't miss the point. The NFL is going to lose advertisers and their revenue is going to go down. It may be 10% and their overall numbers will still be huge but yearly decreases add up. I say fuck the nfl and their oppressed players. Find other suckers to buy their product.

Yeah NFL revenues have gone from 4.28 billion to 13.16 billion over the last 15 years while never having a dip in any year. I'm sure they are real concerned about what Trump and Papa John have to say.

I have only had it twice in my life and agree with others, you ain't missing nothing. Better ingredients, better pizza? hardly.
hopefully 3rd time will be the charm. Having some PJ's pan pizza tonight. Daughter had pan pizza from PJ's recently and said it was good so we are giving it a shot. They just had special online, any pan pizza for $10, so getting a bunch of 'em. We shall see.

You are crazy if you don't think the NFL is nervous about declining revenues/viewership. This is why they now are coming up with this 100 million dollars to help the community. Lets see the numbers when it comes to renew season tickets. Lets see what happens when the existing network contract comes up for negotiation.

I guess there really are people who are protesting the NFL because of how they handled Collin Kaeperknick. I read that today. I mainly just think of all the older white people that I know who are done with the NFL because of the so called disrespect to the anthem and America. Rarely do I think about the people who refuse to watch the NFL now and are in favor of Kaeperknick. In both cases it affects the NFL negatively. But the NFL hurting? Their heyday may be over as far as being superior to the rest of the sports in this country. But they will always be #1 even with this crisis. But, Papa Johns is really hurting, that's fact for sure.
