Most demographics came here poor. The European immigrants in the 20's through the 50's, and they were victims of racism too. More recently, the Asians, especially the Vietnamese who came here from a war torn country, deceased family members and not speaking the language. They were hated by many, victims of extreme racism, and with disadvantages the AA community can't even imagine. They've made themselves one of the highest income demographics in the country (if not the highest).

Demographics that choose to try and take advantage of the welfare system instead of taking advantage of the opportunity they have to advance their families standing are lagging. Demographics that choose to raise their kids as single parents are lagging, especially when multiple fathers are involved. Demographics that choose to be part of gangs instead of focusing on their education are lagging. Demographics that MAKE EXCUSES for their position in life are lagging.

The reason AA's haven't advanced as far as other demographics is because of their own excuses, their own choices, their own work ethic, their own leadership, it's all on them. Whenever a fellow AA member gets out of the hood or the family advances up the economic ladder, instead of being a great example for others, they're mocked as being a slave to whitey or living a white man's life or even an uncle tom.

Millions of AA's have advanced up the ladder just like everyone else, they weren't held down by your systematic racism or oppression, how on earth can that be? If they go to school, stay out of trouble, work hard, they succeed, it's that simple.

Their biggest problem is group thinking like yours. MLK would be appalled by such nonsense. They can get out too, but it takes time, and everyone wants the easy street and the quick fix. I don’t know that for a fact. Because it’s not something I’m sure he commonly talks about. “Oh hey everyone! I’m half black and half white! How are you doing today?” It’s just something that really isn’t important if you are trying to accomplish things. I like Barrack. But was he a good president?
