I skimmed through the transcript, pretty boring. I'm tired of the lies ! I'd gladly settle for 50% of my $1831.

The real crime here is against this shvt country's people ! Gaming could provide much money here in the form of jobs, if they could become somewhere close to CR in credibility.

The PGC is a joke ! If they looked at the bigger picture, they would see they are shooting themselves in the foot. There's always bananas, I guess.

From an earlier post I made, I estimate slightly over 1,000 affected (1200 ? ). I'll guess the average owed amount as 2-5k. Let's say 3 million total, that 500k bond (if it exists), is then 17 cents on the dollar, if ever distributed. I have no info to back these numbers, other than estimated number of accounts seems fairly accurate. I say this book attracted larger players with reduced vig.

Doug what are you talking about??? CR has zero credibility, if a book goes under just who in the government will take your phone calls??? Whatever Lizzi and her group do and whatever money they get you through the bond is a whole lot better than what the CR government will ever do, those people talk out of both sides of their mouth. Believe me if a CR official says he is happy that the industry is there, you should hear what he tells his Tico friends and political associates, it isn't flattering at all.

I have had a few meetings with other people that do business in CR and Antigua and both of these jurisdictions, from an oversight and government position today, are total jokes. I think the people running the books in Antigua must have been laughing their asses off hearing Lester Bird talk about how important the industry is to the country. It sure is important, but he sure wasn't talking about how Antiguan officials just see it as a cash cow just waiting for another tax to come up.

I just think Panamanian officials had no idea what they were getting into and it is a shame their first chance at it probably ends up being their last, at least for some time to come. Their gaming commission actually is quite good and respected by everyone I have talked to (including some worldwide gaming companies) when it comes to regular casino activities, but as we see constantly online is just a whole different ballgame.

CR and Antigua do ok only because good people are operating there. They are getting ZERO help from their governments and the local laws.

Nowhere close to 1,000 currently funded accounts at BetPanam. Not many more than 100, if that many.

You've got to be kidding me. Chester told me about 80 people are owed, in total around 300k.

Muny are you serious? They paid you that kind of money? If so, please let us know when the check clears.

BTW my opinion is the bond will be eaten up before the players get anything.

I'm glad I'm wrong here. If it's only 80 people owed 300k, that's good news ! I think all 80 of us must post at the various forums.

Chester ( The bankroll molester ) is a joke, out of the country till Monday, yeah right !

Lakerfan, I'll bet my P/A balance at -900 that Muny didn't get a check for 15k+.

Muny never got $15K. Simply an April Fool's Day joke.

In fact, anyone who read any of Muny's comments when the whole BetPanAm Rah-Rah Rx / Intuition Bet Assembly Line was being ramped up, KNOWS that he never even had an account there. He was one of the harshest critics of the Panama locale.

Short update

I have just finished notifying the Panama Gaming Commission 16 proxys.2 more will be notified in the next half an hour. I have received acknowledgement of receipt for 5 of them so far.

Apparently the Commission is requesting an Attorney to represent the claims, although this requirement is nowhere to be found with the text of the gaming law.

The Gaming Commission has been notified that should they persist in this undue request they will for sure be satisfied and I will retain a local attorney or two ( at my expenses ).

However this kind of “approach” may lead to lack of flexibility and understanding and induce me to have a very short meeting with the Commission, immediately followed by the action mentioned in the notification text . Other actions will be undertaken as well.

I still believe wisdom will prevail and the Commission will drop the undue request, which, in view of the proxys received, may be legally undertaken without delay.

I will keep you posted of further developments as they occur.

Some light at the end of the tunnel...this is part of today's mail correspondence with the Gaming Commission :

"Betpanam have the obligation to pay the players and they will comply with our regulations.

Lizi Rose

Legal Adviser

Gaming Control Board

Panama."

Hopefully we will have a good meeting this coming Monday.
