Please read.... I made an honest mistake in relation to posting times.....

I know now... honest mistake.... posted well before start of game.....

How about 0-0 and not counting either play. 2-0 doesn`t seem right and 0-2 seems a little harsh.

that is why I was fine with 1-1 cauz I did get credit for the first play.....

If I had been warned after day 1 I definately woudnt have made the mistake, day 2.

I am going to go against my better judgement, and adjust your record to 1-1, since you lost twice for the same mistake, and were not aware after the first game....

However i will say right here, that i resent the fact that u imply it was my fault that u lost twice, because i did not warn you........I have done everything i can to help each of you....

I posted the rules before the contest started......I posted a reminder again before the contest started and pinned it to the top of the forum, and that is RULE #1.........i also post with the lines EVERYDAY, THE DEADLINE FOR PICKS......I have put up the threads 3-4 days ahead of time, just in case someone cant post before the deadline on a given day, and i have given posters the option to email me if they cant get their pick in on time....


I am not really sure how much more I am supposed to do...The only reason you were not warned after the first night, was that i did not notice....and another player brought it to my attention, and that is why i adjusted it...

However, like i said, i am going to put you at 1-1, because you lost 2 games on the same mistake, but i do not believe it WAS MY FAULT.........

I do all i can in these contests to make it easy..

bucs, from the bottom of my heart I was not implying you erred.....

was simply stating that if by chance I had not happen to have two laker games in the first two days & if my play had not accidentally been graded a winner I would have caught it by the 2nd day....

that is it... that is all.... I think the job you are doing is phenomenal & sometimes it is hard to get your true feelings out on message boards....

Please understand that it sucked to go 2-0 & find out all of a sudden you were 0-2.... thats all....

once again, if my message came out the wrong way, I apologize vehemently....

IMO you are the best MOD here.... WHY? cauz you actually do one thing that all the other's only talk about.... YOU POST WINNING PLAYS.....

Isn't this the same contest where I had a game graded as a loss because it was played at 5:00 a.m. in Japan last year? For the record I think you made the right call before you changed to 1-1. As much as it sucks to go 2-0 and be graded 0-2, you now have created a situation where every contestant deserves a "get out of jail free" card.

My comments do not in any way imply a lack of appreciation of your efforts. Just that you were right when you said "against my better judgement." Hope this goes well from here on.

p.s. For the record, I don't think the rule last year was 15 minutes before the first game. Had that been the case there would have been many more who were graded with a loss due to the 5 am game.

Vini, he was not given a get out of jail free card, he was credited with a loss on his first time, just like everyone else...

The problem was, he wasnt warned like everyone else...

He asked if anyone had a problem with it, no one said anything, so i gave him 1-1, since he was not warned.....

Yes we used the 15 minute rule last year....I remember something about a game in Japan, but not the exact circumstances....

So lets please just move on with the contest, without controversy.....

He picked 2 games right, but was given a loss, now everyone is aware of the rule for sure, and everyone will be warned if they do it.....

He wasnt, and i am going to take responsibility for that, since i didnt notice the first night...

here you say you are responsible. My only point is that the rules, like them or not, were really very clear. I don't understand the need to deviate. I hope you are equally understanding for all the contestants.

Thanks, but that won't be necessary. I both read and understood the rules. I'm not trying to bust your balls, just pointing out that once one of these contests starts the rules need to be followed. I will be the first to say I don't like the 15 minute before first game rule, but I joined the contest with the rules as written.

This is, after all, your contest and the rest of us need to be respectful of that. I very much appreciate all that you do with the contests here at the rx. I also appreciate, believe it or not, that you analyzed this incident and did what you thought was the right thing.

I will try my best to have no further comments other than my own losing selections. Good luck to all the rest of the way.

it is not as black & white as you are suggesting vinvin, there are other factors, I check the forum all the time, if I had noticed a graded loss after day 1 i would have corrected my error day 2.... this is not bucs fault, it is MY FAULT & ONLY MY FAULT, but bad luck that there had been a grading error which prevented me from correcting my mistake day 2.... Bad luck that the Lakers played 2 days in a row.... That is all.....

it is not outside the realm of reasonableness to be a little flexible the first couple of days either.... Just until everyone is completely used to the rules....

there is also something which is called being a good sport..... after all I picked both games correct & got 1-1.....
